Economy phones has thr highest sales and thus overall the highest profits each quarter if they target their markets for sales just right and closest to repair centre's to reduce shilling and receiving costs.

Why do you think Toyota makes the highest volume and profits of any car company alone (not including major conglomerates like Tata Motors which has vast brands under their umbrella)??!!!!

Thata why it took nearly 20yrs to resurrect the Supra and they partnered eith BMW for the platform and engine and drive train with subtle changes.

When will pundits realize what the end goal is here?! Companies are in the market for profits THATs it.

    Wow, not bad on paper. 6.8", less than 75mm wide, less than 200g, and USB3.

    It puts the Galaxy S23FE to shame.

    Problem is software update roadmap. Why do the Taiwanese (Asus as well) sucks at this?

      At $300, it would sell like hotcakes!

        I would say the almost perfect device for me, but for a 6.8 display the battery is too small, I would expect at least 1k mAh more but let's wait for the review, maybe it's pretty efficient.

          It's £469.00 here in the UK, which is a competitive price for what you get. SD 7G3 is perfectly capable for 99.9% of users. The only real drawback is the lack of long-term OS support.

            We want all chinese Ultra phones to be sold outside China, but they need to be $400/€400 cheaper than S24 and iphone 15.

              I was hoping for a return of the flagship series, I miss my HTC 10, it's felt so solid, it could be used as a weapon. The camera also took photos that felt like they were taken on a large format camera. I wish there were more competition from Google, old HTC, and old OnePlus with simple, fast, intuiative UI combined with hardware that pushes the limit so that the phones would last more than a 3 years... only Samsung left since they have improved their software from the early days.

                    I owned several HTC from the past; some on Windows Phone (yeah, I'm that old!) and some Android that was top like One M8, M9 and then it started bad ...
                    Since then, they served us overpriced 'junk', well, not this one because it's not a junk per se but have you seen the perfomance of the CPU ? Not great for 500+ euros asked.

                    I think there is better alternative for the same price or even cheaper so it's dead upon launch. Again, for me. And without much promotion material, I doubt that'll sell much ... I hope HTC will prove me wrong, truly ✌

                    Perhaps counting on the Jack for selling ? There is a 'niche' market yeah, as there is for a microSD slot (which I want to return so badly and not only from Sony mainly because even with 5y+ support I fear they exit the market and that promised support will be altered and then with a 1000+ device depreciated)

                    I was perhaps exagerating a bit about the 200 but frankly, 150 could be off and now could compete with existing market. Hope you understand better my initial though 😋

Anti-headphone-jack l... moreI don't care about the headphone jack bc I already cut my losses (downvotes in 3,2,1...) and switched to Bluetooth audio devices. Would rather buy HTC because it comes with UFS 3.1 and 12GB of RAM, no matter configuration you choose.

                              Would be nice to have HDR10+ and 144hz but do you really need that extra 24hz? As for cameras, I'm happy I get a tele, no matter if it's 2x or even 5x. 60W may be slow to some but since I'm in the US, Samsung and Apple still didn't break the 50W barrier for mobile devices.
