ProMax Ultra, 14 Jun 2024Samsung was roumored to bring Graphene batteries by 2020-21... moreDid not realise samsung has since decreased the resolution from the s20, was my one small complaint with my s24 and to also find out the s24 fe is getting the same processor as my 2400 variant 'flagship' is very disappointing abiet underclocked but still pretty average on their behalf.. don't think I'll be buying samsung again any time soon tbh

From S20 to S24...4 years passed & look how little things have changed.

Volume of 5 V- 78,874.32
Xperia 5 V is taller but narrower.
For around 15% higher volume Xperia has 3.5mm Jack,5000mAh battery,2 equal front firing speakers,larger vibration motor...so it packs a lot more for around 15% higher internal volume.
Samsung's own S20...a 4 year old device with almost similar dimensions had QHD panel,4000mAh battery...& somwhow in these past 4 years aside from obvious display resolution downgrade,samsung couldn't figure out better internal space optimisation or better/higher density battery?
To look things into perspective see the changes from S22 to S24.....300mAh battery size increase & selfie camera change

If they made it a little more thick , a larger cell could be fitted. But this could be said about ANY brand out there.

The Xperia 5 V has the space for the battery, Sony did nothing special here...

All Samsung has to literally do is swap the battery in the phone and the phone would instantly become lighter with more energy capacity it's simple as that
They can keep all of their components exactly the same in the same places they are in just ONLY use a different battery
EVEN If they keep the same exact mah.. guess what the phone will be about 18% lighter immediately

The battery technology is 18% lighter, more energy dense
The math is saying Samsung gets to keep their exact s25 volume with more battery ,what that figure is in mah will definitely be bigger than what it is now
They don't have to match 6000mah but they can objectively have their cake and eat it too..
No excuses for Samsung

Samsung packed a lot of components inside the compact S24. I mean even the Asus Zenfone couldn’t afford triple camera, but the S24 does. Considering the S24 battery is still acceptable for normal use, the S25 will be fine. I mean look at the Exynos S24, even the Xiaomi 13T with 5000mAh battery has barely better battery life )less than 20 minutes advantage).
