Name a Chinese phone that is as compact as the S24 and has larger battery. I’ll wait.

Not bad to keep the weight and thickness of the phone down.. but only if it recharge faster like 0-to-100 in just 15 minutes.

Sony must have found an extra-dimmensional, outer-space future technology to be able to fit 5000mah in the Xperia 5!

4000 mAh battery in a device as tiny as the base Galaxy S model? I'd call that historic achievement, not a disappointment.

Still waiting for an " S2X Ultra mini "

IpsDisplay, 14 Jun 2024My brother read this: Vivo s19 6000mah 7.2 mm thickness .....Done using silicon carbon battery tech. The other thing there is that Vivo uses the space more efficiently than Samsung does, and the Vivo V40 is a 6.78" phone, not exactly compact. If Vivo was to make that phone 8.9mm thick, they could utilise a 7000mAh battery or even better, which would IMO be even more impressive. I don't get the point of making a phone 7.2mm thick, but I also don't get the point of making it even 8.9mm thick when you could use aramid fibres on the back, increase the thickness of the phone to 9.9mm and slightly raise the frame to protect the phone's display when falling instead of expecting consumers to put a case on their phone. Cases are stupid and thicker phones that have excellent durability would be thinner than thinner phones that have cases on them.

The S25 really should just be 8.9mm thick and get a 5000-5500mAh battery, while the S25+ and S25 Ultra should just be 8.9mm thick and get a 6000-7000mAh battery. In my ideal world, they would all use aramid fibres instead of glass for their backs and have a 9.9mm thickness while having 6000-7000mAh batteries and using that extra thickness mostly for even better cameras, but alas, the market is being stupid.

The problem is not the battery capacity itself, but the lack of optimization and a whole bunch of bloatware. It would be just great if Samsung made smaller entry-level and intermediary smartphones, regardless of battery capacity.

To be disappointed you have to have a higher expectation that wasn't being met

Huawei is gone and Samsung has no challenger people really has expectations in their hearts for Samsung making impactful changes??

Personally I'd be happy for an extra few mm of thickness for better battery. I use my A52s and since the day I got it, it lasts fine typically but using my maps, turned on all day for my long walks. Combined with some music playing. It drains quick. Bearing in mind that I do other things occasionally during breaks. But I can't get a solid 8 hours use out of it. I really can't. Brightness is not high but in hot, sunny days, it might need to be. If using it for regular load maps. Bottom line is. I don't need it to be able to sideload and play PS3 emulators. I need it to do what it can already do, but at the best capacity possible. Everyone has different needs. If you sit at home on your phone and game forever, you won't care. You'll just plug it in occasionally. Simple as that. Otherwise you'll not need it.
