Darth Caesium, 14 Jun 2024IMO, it should've been like this: •Price — $1700; $... moreAt least this time you have not try to change AF of the sensors , nor have demanded ToF + Laser AF simultaneously ..

That is huge progress ... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Genuinely, the only I would ever buy this is for the 4K 120fps video that you can use the back camera for when unfolded. Otherwise, I see no reason not to get a different phone altogether.

Anonymous, 14 Jun 2024Again with lame demands none will be doing Now what I've demanded, almost all of it has already been done by rivals. Not all in one piece, mind you, but almost all of it isn't even original. This wouldn't be hard to do at all, but Samsung doesn't want to innovate because there is no meaningful competition. If there was, Samsung would be screwed and would lose lots of market share. My demands are not unreasonable here when they're not unrealistic, they have been done before. Only the IP68 rating hasn't. Even the aramid fibre back has been done, since Xiaomi used aramid fibres for a special edition of their Xiaomi Mix Fold 3.

4400mAh is still laughably small for this kind of device. If the Chinese brands dares to sell their foldable phones globally for the same price as the Z Fold, then it would definitely make Samsung going back to the drawing board. Competition is a good thing to have and helps a lot to break monopoly

What is Samsung doing, not innovating...
They are nickel and diming their customers, losing market share, releasing the same device with ~ 10% differences, Yet the price remains the same or more.
More importantly, these devices will never be the norm because they only work in theory. The current internal display tech is too fragile and not reliable. I'm not paying that kind of money for an inferior display that can be damaged by my finger nail or a spec of dirt....

Retire this design until you can make a better internal display.

IMO, it should've been like this:

                    •Price — $1700; $1800; $2000 / £1700; £1800; £2000
                    •Measurements — 149.6 × 71.4 × 11mm (folded); 149.6 × 141.3 × 5.5mm (unfolded)
                    •Outer display — 6.3", 91.6% screen-to-body-ratio (97.51cm²), 1-120Hz, LTPO OLED, 2640×1220 (461PPI), 480Hz touch sampling rate, 2600nits (peak), HDR10+
                    •Inner display (using something like Tecno's Borderless Foldable Main Screen) — 7.8", 91.6% screen-to-body-ratio (194.06cm²), 1-120Hz, LTPO OLED, 2720×2340 (460PPI), 480Hz touch sampling rate, 2600nits (peak), HDR10+
•Build quality — Glass front (Gorilla Glass Armour), plastic front (unfolded), Grade 5 titanium frame, aramid fibre back, IP68 rating (1.5m for 30 minutes)
                    •Chipset — Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
                    •Memory — 512GB UFS 4.0 + 16GB LPDDR5X RAM / 1TB UFS 4.0 + 16GB LPDDR5X RAM / 2TB UFS 4.0 + 24GB LPDDR5X RAM
                    •Rear cameras:
                    ✓Samsung ISOCELL GNK — 50MP, f/1.7, 26mm (wide), 1/1.31"-type, 1.22µm, Dual Pixel PDAF, Laser AF, OIS
                    ✓Sony LYT-600 — 50MP, f/2.2, 13mm (ultrawide), 123° FoV, 1/1.95"-type, 0.8µm, PDAF (4cm-∞)
                    ✓Sony IMX858 — 50MP, f/2.3, 78mm (periscope telephoto), 1/2.51"-type, 0.7µm, PDAF (10cm-∞), OIS, 3× optical zoom
                    •Front cover camera:
                    ✓Samsung ISOCELL JN1 — 50MP, f/2.2, 26mm (wide), 1/2.76"-type, 0.64µm, PDAF
                    •Front inner camera:
                    ✓Samsung ISOCELL JN1 — 50MP, f/2.2, 26mm (wide), 1/2.76"-type, 0.64µm, PDAF

                    •Ultrawide Band (UWB) support

The fact that Samsung refuses to do anything with their phones anymore, even with their most expensive product, shows me that they've become a duopoly with Apple. There seriously needs to be more competition, from anyone really, and I personally think Honor is the most likely one. If Honor knew about the importance of brand identity and had similar designs with all of their phones across their product stack, they could seriously carve out a significant chunk of the market any second now, and they could seriously challenge and compete with both Apple and Samsung.

hstojcic, 14 Jun 2024Have you used good one? I would never go back to regular phone.Im like that too, ever since i tried the Z Fold 4... Now im like wishing the fold series had the S Ultra cameras, that's my ONLY complaint about the fold series.

History rewritten that Vivo beats Samsung in foldables. With Vivo X Fold 3 pro, they have shown what the concept of foldables was all about.
Kudos to Vivo. Keep it up.

Obvious tip samsung plans to have a Z Fold Ultra that is gonna cost 20-25% more than Z Fold

No wonder there are so few models per year...80% people are using the phone as a tool for their life not as a toy. This concept is a fun toy, thats all
