HMD Skyline runs Geekbench, confirms Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset

18 June 2024
The design of the Skyline evokes memories of the old Nokia Lumia phones.

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2024Hope it will have removable batteries, otherwise DoAIt will likely have what HMD will call 'Gen2 repairability'. Their current phones (HMD Pulse series, Nokia G42 and G22) have Gen1, which includes official parts such as display, battery and charging port available from iFixit for 5 years, plus guides, and warranty will not be voided if repairs are made.

I expect this device, and definitely the upcoming 'Fusion', will have improved repairability with more modularity and simpler repairs.

Like I said in my previous comments, it's Skyline arrival time with 7s Gen 2 & $550 price. I hope China and Indian Markets get cut-offs and launch it at INR 23999 or under INR 25K

Is it having larger bezels than the actual Lumias? Somehow they managed to make the Lumia design look ugly.

Wish it were 6.2” or less.

Prefer lumia 930 design than this. And also if hmd can Switch the chip to 8s Gen 3 and make it 599$. it will be more interesting.

they actually brought Lumia style back, Its very cool. but except the processor

I don't think anyone's interested in buying an hmd phone. So why are they even trying?

nice design, bad soc, bad price tag

Maybe nostalgia works sometimes, because it reminds me a lot of the Lumia 900

Lumias looked nicer than this back in the day.

Mi 13 Lite was far worse and costed 500 euros last year

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2024Hope it will have removable batteries, otherwise DoAHighly unlikely seeing as how rare that is in a 2024 released phone apart from some really budget level devices.
