So yeah, in gaming segment Nvidia is just unbeatable at the moment. At least in the top end.

And they just happen to sell the most AI chips at the same time, and every company seems to be crazy about AI at the moment. Even though very few have actual use for AI in their products.

    We need a competitior after a bubble burst that gives nvidia a run for its money
    Basically there is huge need for a fierce competition

Voting with wallet doesn't work anymore when millions of your fellow consumers do the opposite.

                Nvidia is 100% American, its only connection to Taiwan is that one of the three founders was born there, but he left at the age of 3.

                  Automation for businesses is way too high and a lot of companies such as Tesla need Nvidia chips for AI.
                  At the moment Nvidia just prepped way too well for AI and other companies are playing catch up, hence the market share is all Nvidia. Graphics cards aren't even a thing to nvidia.

                    Mmm.. don't remember seeing such a news in here when Microsoft overtook Apple though.

But nope they gotta mess up. Hoping we get some GTX 10 series kind of moment from Intel this year. Their next architecture seems to be promising and they've ironed out a lot of driver issues.
