14 grams seems very lightweight actually, almost too lightweight. I only know of one battery weight, from the iPhone 6s, which is 25 grams and has a battery about 1/3 the capacity. https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/news/teardown-tuesday-apples-iphone-6s/ Has battery technology really made such big advancements since 2015, or is there something missing in the equation?

Those are different metrics. Some people use 800 cycles in 2 years, others do so in 5 years

This sentence makes little sense to me bc 800 cycles isnt far from how many cycles you would normally go through in 4 years (assuming your phone has good battery life)

That's the kind of battery innovation consumers would like to see, battery capacity and health, display protection etc
Apple meanwhile worsening their batteries just to extract more money out of their customers
How the tables have turned, chinese phone companies now do most of the innovation required on modern smartphones while apple just raising their prices and stagnant design

Main question is why oppo is promising about battery health 4 year...
No company do that ... Samsung apple phone 5 6 7 year user phone work good...
Oppo has battery issue .. Fast charging damage battery it real...
That why oppo is covering it

Anyways the 14g weight I can't really appreciate it because I can't compare it to Vivo's battery weight specs

Let the battery wars begin I want grams , energy density and charge cycle stats as much information as we get when we are talking about processors or camera specs.. battery needs some love too

Acorns, 21 Jun 2024100% agree with this comment, I know some people are obsess... moreYea and not to mention there are usually only old spare batteries sold so there is really no point in replacing the battery - it will be in a bad shape even as "new". So battery cycles is vital.

damn after a few more updates to the battery these Chinese manufacturers are gonna make phones last longer in terms of hardware than their software and Samsung/Google are gonna have longer lasting software than hardware, basically you're going to want to change the Samsung/Google cus of the middling hardware and you're going to want to change the chinese phones if you ever feel like the hardware is not good enough which seems like is going to be a tough scenario because these manufacturers are pushing everything to the limit and one day the innovations gonna stop or at least slow down significantly so most buyers should be happy for a long time.
