[deleted post]If you live in West then use the Chinese SpyOS and if you live in China then use a VPN and American SpyGoogle!. Be smart. You know it makes sense, if you really do value privacy.

In EU I would bring satelite connectivity and advertise as brand new technology with brand new OS. Some cool videos and thats it.

People like these in the comment section are the reason why it is so hard to develop new OS. People want monopoly then complain about price and lack of innovation.

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2024Probably not Meta or Google but Microsoft has apps in the A... moreMaybe he means Whatsapp for example. Any smartphone users now using Whatsapp. Yes not many using Facebook or Instagram. I mean not as many as Whatsapp active user.

so Huawei's making themselves even more niche outside of China? I'd like to see someone defend Huawei now. Like seriously their cameras are good but not the best, way too artificial, if that's what you like then sure ig but you could just get an Honor and get 95% of the same quality. The chip's not that powerful so there's that too and the price is ludicrous.

Like, if you're in China I'm pretty sure you're getting an iOS type of software here as this is supposedly a different OS altogether and so it's supposed to be more optimized, so better battery and performance efficiency. But outside of China, who's gonna make apps for this?

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2024Bringing this to the global market will be a challenge. ... moreSmall apps number is the reason why this OS is currently China-only (very wise decision so it doesn't fail if people see just a few apps), it'll go worldwide when it hold at least 500,000 native apps which is not a big number for the massive Chinese dev community. Give it another 5 years maximum to see it competing with Android and IOS globally.

Anonymous, 23 Jun 2024Bringing this to the global market will be a challenge. ... moreit so happened You Develop Resilience by Mastering Challenges. accepting challenges what made harmony grow stronger in the first place. if it weren't for US sanctions Harmony won't even exist.

Bringing this to the global market will be a challenge.

Just like a Windows Mobile, BbOs10 lacks of the major apps will be a problem. Especially when US still put Huawei under a sanction.

Meta, Google & probably Microsoft will not assist Huawei to make this new OS grow bigger.

Nice and fluid. Huawei finally have their own OS. Hope it catches on and becomes a success.
