These phones are awesome, if I wouldn't be using the bookstyle foldable, the ultra would definitely be my purchase, but I don't prefer a flip phone. I'm waiting for Motorola to bring a book foldable, I think it would be a banger

I would even be prepared to pay for an ultra if it wasnt for the weak software support. Cant really justify spending 1000€ + on a phone that will be left behind in 3 years. Crossing my fingers Motorola will come to their senses in the future and adjust their policy.

Absolutrly no, there are better phpnes outthere with cheaper or same price but better specs, it would be better if you invest on a foldaboe oike Vivo X fold 3 pro or Oneplus Open

They should've used a Sony LYT-700C (like they did on the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion) for the main camera, a Sony LYT-600 for the ultrawide, and a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 for a 3× periscope telephoto. The selfie should've used the Samsung ISOCELL JNS that they're using across their lineup for selfies this year.
This would not only save them more money, as they're bulk buying the same sensors for use on more of their phones, but it would be doable as well, assuming they were to slightly increase the thickness of their phone, or instead they could go to Transsion and pay a license to use their Borderless Foldable Main Screen tech instead, allowing them to increase the thickness of the internal space while actually decreasing the overall thickness of the phone.

Although it is prototype but it did show possible future in foldable phone segment. To address your issue they can implement metal plate. This way phone can also stay slim and less visible hing. For multimedia purpose this would be great.

As lomg as there is crease, big screen and tiny battery and mostly a paper thin display with zero durability foldables are no for me period.

No. Probably bcs they aren't official in my region. Also, Moto is bad at software updates. I probably would wait for the Find N5 Flip(or maybe the fold). Samsung is already a no since they foldables always have screen issues every year

Rollable... moreJust like the 3D television, 3D cell phones, Phones with projector inside lie Galaxy beam, Phones with camea instead of few crappy lenses like Samsung K Zoom, Pop up cameras for selfie or rollable cameras like A80 samsung had etc many else phones which went here and there for a hype and ended the same way.
Only rich people who dont know what to do with money have phone like this and give live and breath or oxygen to this kind of devices. Othervise there wouldnt be market for them because for half the price with no crease and a real Gorilla glass Victus bar phones always won over any other design, unique feature or something tottaly cringe and creepy.
Without said rich people there wont be market for those phones because half of the planet earnings are so low that even a 200 eur phone is way too expensive for them.

Yeah and Z flip no where near s24 ultra calibre in so many ways
I had one earlier this year and nah that unsightly crease crap cameras and poor battery was a no no and big bezels
So I went and bought 24 ultra

Every time I wanted to use ultrawide, I just went into panorama mode instead, better effect that way.

Never saw the need for the latter, panorama mode is much more useful than ultrawide.

My work phone is a Edge 40 Pro and A14 is buggy at best, and Moto promised "fixes" for the bugs and "fixes" to add the missing functionality they "ran out of time to add".
My brother has Razr 40 Ultra and got the A14 updates, somehow it is missing the functionality they promised while taking over 8 months to release A14 on that thing.
Not to mention Moto is pulling a Samsung move here, Razr 50 and 50 Ultra have AOD on cover display, 40 Ultra is not getting that (reminder Moto is the only brand that doesn't have any real AOD on any of their phones, they just removed it from their Android build, and peek display doesn't count)
Oh and peek display is gone in A14 on my Edge 40 Pro, one of many things they removed in A14 because "lack of time".
The only stable Android release their phones run, is the one they come with out of the box.
A13 was fine on my phone, A13 buggy.
A14 is fine on their new phones, A15 will be buggy.
But that is fine, Razr 50 Ultra and regular will probably get A15 somewhere near A16 release, typical Motorola style.

And that nearly 1 year old phone has more OS support left than this new Moto does, not to mention more up to date patches too.
