Hemedans, 29 Jun 2024Apple has just one E core, https://images.anandtech.com/... moreIsn't so obvious that Apple would do great on CPU and XML-based benchmarks since lower-level integer compiling is one of its strong zones? That's why it could even match a CPU like r5950x, whereas even the most powerful m soc is no match for real-time hardware acceleration, running virtual simulation, and heavy tasks like AAA games or engineering software. And a78 isn't a7xx. When you talk about the a710 or a715, these are significantly more powerful and more efficient than the ancient a78.

China alone defeated the whole West. I hope that one day we will have several superpowers, and none of them seek domination and to boycott the others.

It would be amazing if they can compete with Apple's M3 cores. Apple is still in a league of their own when it comes to processor efficiency.

Lb7500, 29 Jun 2024They stole from nortel networks, it is a fact. Read instead... moreWhat tech did Huawei steal from Nortel? They stole their business, that's for sure. But then Nortel isn't the only Canadian business to be outcompeted and failed. Blackberry was outcompeted by Apple and their iPhones. It happens but no one is blaming Apple for Blackberry's failure.

Who isn't copying anymore?
Every Google phone looks like iPhone and every iPhone looks like a Google phone.
Ford bought Range Rover and Austin Martin used the technology and design in Ford vehicles . Now FOrd and Lincolns have technology used in Range Rover. They spin off both companies to Tata, because they no longer need them for technology.
AMD copies Intel and Intel copies AMD. Companies no longer spend money on R &D . It is cheaper for them to steal the technology or buy start ups and bring in technology they possess.
This is why they have patents?

People.
Stop thinking capitalism is about respecting others and doing what's right.
It's about making the most money for your shareholders.
It's an American made economical style and it involves stealing, cheating and other unsaid stuff.
Don't whine about it when China does it (although you will need more proofs than a Canadian web newspaper).

Xion, 29 Jun 2024If it was that easy to copy then there would never have bee... moreI tell you why, because greedy US and EU companies outsourced intelligence to china so they can build devices and whatever other for west and not only. They were teahced to build real networks, network devices, cars, preatty much a lot of stuff. The only problem is also the one that they did not see comming. China has no Intel Theft laws, so they pratically copy pasted the european industry and came out on the market with mostly garbage products, in time tough they got better, and more experienced, of course, that does not exclude the fact that chinese companies still milk the cow with their garbage software. But when they got better, they also threat the european, and not only, industry, practicing unfair competition and of corse, like the user, you commented on, said: not investing nearly a quarter of the money western companies invest to develope. So no matter what you claim, and try to tell to others, is your only fairytale. The truth lies simple, companies awoken to late and now they find themselves in a big problem easy to fix, but with a catch. Stopping the intell outsourcing! That would mean tough, way more expensive products because nobody works for 100 euros in europe or usa or canada or australia... so yeah...

Lb7500, 29 Jun 2024They stole from nortel networks, it is a fact. Read instead... moreFact how? Says by you? A cybersecurity expert in the investigation decades ago? Or “trust me bro” from social media?
I just copy paste a quote from Wikipedia(at least there’s more credibility than you)
Cybersecurity experts have some doubts about a hack of such magnitude as described by Shields, calling it "unlikely". Shields does not think Huawei was directly involved, but industry insiders, including him, believe that Huawei and ZTE were beneficiaries of the hack.
