Rounded display with sharp corners ruins it for me. Should have provided rectangular one like samsung does it for s ultra. Looks cool from the back, should have been cheaper by $70-$80

Nokia used to promise 3 OS updates. So we went backwards.

Pumpino, 18 Jul 2024Why did HMD wait until after it ditched the Nokia branding ... moreEither we can conclude that the Nokia corporation itself is a burden on HMD with the massive licensing fees and zero financial support towards HMD, or HMD is finally understanding their consumer base, one step at a time.

Can't even compete with phones which are 3 years old. How this is around £399 is ludicrous.

Just get a Moto G34 or 54, even the Edge 50 fusion is going for £349 and you can get a pair of Sony WF-C500 for around £50.

Nokia just give up its over. Thanks for all the greatness phones back in the days but its time for you to retire. Shout out to the Nokia 5.3. A decent phone for £149 going back 4 years ago

damn!! those are one of the ugliest nails i've seen so fare.

This shouldn't cost more than 400€. The phones you can get for that price are twice as powerful and will receive more software support. I like the design and the repairability, the cameras also seem good on paper but the other specs are not worth it for the price

This phone skyline has a metal frame so that makes it look bit different than those renders, which were all plastic and that's a different phone that's going to be priced below this model, and will be a more lumia looking design

This doesn't quite look as Lumia esque as the original Nokia Lumia designs, more like a second copy of it

499€ is quite expensive considering its hardware and limited software support.
With a smaller screen size it would "compete" with a S23, Xperia 5 and Xiaomi 13/14 but at a way lower price point. (100-200€) making it a "budget" compact sized alternative. But with the given specifications I don't see any mayor major unique selling point despite the Nokia N8/N9 Design. With longer software support (5-7 years security updates) it would have been an alternative to the Fairphone (sustainability).

So the Deal breaker is the poor software support - price ratio.

Damn that's a small battery capacity. Smaller than the rumoured 4900, which would have been near acceptable. Should have dropped wireless charging. Makes the phone more expensive, takes up valuable battery space as well and wired charging is just faster.

Sharp corners yet rounded display is kind of a backwards design choice even if it's reminiscent of past Nokia phones. You get somewhat worse ergonomics and lose out on some potential screen real estate because there isn't any screen taking up all 4 corners, but the phone only being 6.55" could possibly cancel out any ergonomic problems that usually come with boxy phones
