DarlingYext, 18 Jul 2024"On the back, the Skyline features a triple camera set... moreIt's not a shame because HMD continues in the defunct Android One program, just like Nokia. 2 years of Android One is great and if you want to complement it with Qualcomm hardware it is even better.

Its Milan, 18 Jul 2024not to mention only 2 years of OS update and 3 years of sof... moreAgreed.
    1. Software update cycle too short.
    2. Chipset being too weak. 7s gen 2's GPU is weaker than even the 5 years old SD855. Future apps and regular use will slow down the phone.

Although, frankly speaking, I don't mind software updates much and I use phone in a protective way, antiviruses and firewalls and all, being an old timer.
Never had an attack even on 6 year old software version.

So nokia stopped selling phones under nokia and started under hmd or what

What is the point of repairability and spare parts when they only offer 2 os updates?!

I don't think it has 3.5mm jack. You can look in the promotional video and photos. Mic on the top part, the bottom only has the speaker, usb type-c and another mic.

Speedy, 18 Jul 2024Why only two colors, where is the blue, yellow, red Those are fake. Those early leaks were based off random generic renders HMD had on their website and other places.

There is an blue/green color coming to select markets though but that might come later

With a 3.5mm jack, microSD slot, enough RAM and memory, and such easily repairable and replaceable contents, I must say... times are changing.
After XCover 7, this is a pleasant surprise! I like this trend!

As for this particular device, the only thing holding it back a bit is Snapdragon 7s Gen 2.
(For reference, 7sG2's GPU gets 29 points, even the 4 years old Snapdragon 865's gets 41)

They should've gone for either 7 Gen 3/ 7+Gen 2/ 7+Gen3, all of which are big hitters without being flagships. These would've complemented the 144Hz screen well too.

I prefer the first from the left variant

Why only two colors, where is the blue, yellow, red

YES!!!! Finally. I will get one (if available in my region of course). Even if it means hurting my finances :-)

Its Milan, 18 Jul 2024€270-350 should have been enough but nope HMD with it'... morenot to mention only 2 years of OS update and 3 years of software
they are basically telling to not use a phone long term, sadly many people yearly change their phone leading to more e-waste

That phone does NOT look comfy to hold in the slightest

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2024why? would you even expect that this would be sold for US$199?€270-350 should have been enough but nope HMD with it's nonsensical pricing at it yet again

DarlingYext, 18 Jul 2024"On the back, the Skyline features a triple camera set... moreThink that Camera Software optimization also has big role for good photo output.

                              Price is fk.

Why did HMD wait until after it ditched the Nokia branding to release a half decent phone?

The cameras sound like they have potential, the ease of removing the back and replacing the display and battery is refreshing, and the detox mode is novel. It's like we're in the bizarro world!

                                  lol price

2 upgrades... They can keep it.

"On the back, the Skyline features a triple camera setup: a 108 MP main camera with OIS, a 13 MP ultra-wide shooter, and a 50 MP 2x telephoto camera offering up to 4x zoom. "

Finally a camera setup from HMD that's worth talking about!

Shame on the chipset and the 2 OS updates.
