You'll be better served if you throw those 500€ into the fireplace.
At least you'll get warmth out of it. Making it more useful than this garbage from the Home of Mediocre Devices.

Damn they removed the entire page and shopping options including press from Australian site. Looks like it's not coming to Australia which is a shame

This is an outrageous price for such mediocre specs.
HMD does not have brand recognition to even state such a stupid price tag.

Pumpino, 19 Jul 2024Side-mounted fingerprint sensor? Really?I would be happy if more phones did it, aside from regular reasons why ultra sonic and optical scanners are worse than one on the side/back of the phone aside.
For people with skin issues (raises hand) under display scanners are a hell, while side/back of the phone ones just work.
But just like with the removal of microsd and 3.5mm, most people don't care about anything outside their bubble, so companies don't care either and pick the cheapest option (under display scanners are cheapest nowdays)

I wonder... Does skyline refer to the sky high price, or the height of the protrusion?
....But that said they certainly deserves poinst for trying to improve repairability over so many others....

If one really needs a sustainable phone then Fairphone 5 makes more sense.
Sure it is more expensive ar 630 euro (over here) but you can fix it even easier, it had a hot swap battery and more importantly...
LONG SOFTWARE SUPPORT
So no HMD, this thing is not worth this price.

It doesn't have the famous Lumia unibody polycarbonate design and I'm disappointed. That's the only reason I will ever consider buying this phone, otherwise, hmd phones really are boring to look at

Who in their right mind will buy this for 500 euro or even worse 600 euro for just 4GB more RAM ?? Like seriously they promise you only 2 OS updates like Chinese brands but these brands dont ask you 500-600 for a specs of 300 euro phone.
Especially when there are now phones that have screen edge to edge with like 1mm bezel plus 1mm frame while this have like 3mm bezel plus 3-4mm frame so you get 6.5 inch screen in a body of a phone that have like 6.78inch screen.
Also i read from somewhere that it wont have charger in the box and there are like 2 option for charger either you get a 33W charger with one port or 2 port charger that get you 30W
