Anonymous, 26 Jul 2024Can you say this 4 years ago? No. So please stop exaggerati... moreSamsung has been *ONE* of the most innovative manufacturers. Not the most. Samsung was the one who had the most fun and the craziest ideas and THAT's why I loved them. Oh and also they were not only better than the competition in terms of hardware but ALSO were well rounded. Now they're just well rounded. They're like a Toyota Camry but if it was 5 years behind instead of 2 years.
I loved Samsung since the start, used an S7 Edge, S8+, S10 and now the S22 Ultra. Even though the S22 Ultra was super mid, it was still the best phone. Vivo couldn't beat it with the X80 Pro, the telephoto was 1/4.4" and 8 MP only on that so yeah, I DO know where to give credit. I'm mostly mad at Samsung because I used to love them for being the best, you just couldn't complain too much. Back then they gave Huawei a run for their money, even Google sometimes. Last good Samsung was the Note20 Ultra and the best Samsung/the last great Samsung was the S10+. I used to be a Samsung fanboy, deflecting all criticism, but now they're not worth that anymore. A terrible company is all that's left now. I can't support that.

GAMIR3DH, 25 Jul 2024Defend what? It has been like that since the S20 Ultra. How... moreDid you read the news about the upcoming processor generations? Knowing that Samsung will go for Snapdragon 8 gen 4, the other brands which will use the same chip bumping up their battery capacity 5-10% to compensate that. Where's this with Samsung? We'll eventually see who's right and wrong.
Also what about samsung being stuck at 45w charging limitation meanwhile others simply rocking? No. Classic samsung shiller.
I was at the airport, it took me just about 20 mins to charge my phone to 90%. I saw one samsung user there and two apple. They were sitting on the floor by the wall for quite some time lol. This is what you deserve. :D

iH8allFanboys, 26 Jul 2024What have they done in the past 4 years you call innovative? They copied apple design in the past four years. Which is a good thing. But sh@mlessy they criticized Apple. Samung is a big company but that's a cheap thing to do of you focus less on upgrades and more on criticizing Apple. On the other hand Apple does a pretty great job with a smaller battery than samung but lasts longer and at the same time Performs better and no gimmicks like samung dex and Bixby. Samung is overpriced I tell you!

DeepIn2U, 26 Jul 2024Oh wait: Z Fold 6 = this model has less of a crease matc... moreSo you're telling me that the S24 Ultra is the S23 Ultra, but with a screen that reduces 75% of the reflection and I should thank Santa Samsung for its great generosity? And the Z Fold 6, is actually the Z Fold 5, but with dust resistance and again should I thank Santa Samsung for its "miggles"? 😂😂😂😂

Is anyone else sick of Samsung always too complacent to sit on its A## till someone kicks it.
I cannot for the love of God understand this pitiful mentality prefering not to do anything until the competitor does, same thing happen with the Z fold 6 virtually the 4400 Mah battery and designs for the last 3 years when every other major manufacturer moved from it at 5000-6000Mah as the new SD Gen4 chip becomes more power hungry & to offer more SOC to power users.
On top of that Samsung never increases its Fast charging beyond 45w when others are at least 80w to 200w which I can accept if Samsung increase the battery size.
Once again Samsung chose to sit on its Laurel and not do anything until something drastic happens like when the Z fold 6 flops completely from the the best hardware to the worse for this 2024 release and going in to early 2025 and sales had dropped more than 51% for the last 2 years presale as they chose iterative tiny improvements, OP said it correctly one step forward and two steps backwards, that is Samsung policy.....unbelievably silly and costly mistake, which they never seem to learn!

The capacity is fine, IMO. The more important part which Samsung should address is the charging speed. 45W can get frustrating.

The last Samsung phone I really adore until now was the Note 9. After that Samsung aimed to iPhonize their features which means modify the least but advertise/overhype the most. I've been waiting for Samsung flagship to have 6000mAh base battery capacity but it seems that even the "Ultra" is still not deemed worthy of larger battery capacity.

Nobody needs to be loyal to anyone in this age.
5000 mAh battery is decent enough to give 1 day battery back up to any normal user who goes to office or have some real business or work to do.

DeepIn2U, 26 Jul 2024Oh wait:
Z Fold 6 = this model has less of a crease matc... moreCompare the innovation from the S6 to the S10. Three cameras instead of one with faster focus, more than double the ram, four times the storage, Dex, Routines, Good Lock, USB-C, and more.
Now compare since then. The S24: Three cameras, same RAM, same storage, same Dex, Routines, Good Lock, USB-C. No SD card, no 3.5mm. No charger in the box. No earbuds in the box.
A coating on the S24U is appreciated, but it doesn't compare to what Samsung used to be. If Samsung kept up the pace of innovation, then the base model should have 512GB of storage and 18GB of RAM. Before anyone says "you don't need that", you would if Samsung kept improving Dex and added more software. Instead they left it mostly untouched since 2019 and expect people to pay more for less.
