Eh? I don't understand the comments saying the 8800's are so good. The 8800 lacks style and invention, it's all a poor phone to use and is garbage. This is much more innovated, round screen nicer materials and uniquely styled. Personally wouldn't get one but it's a better offer than the 8800's. To be honest wouldn't buy a Nokia or Motorola both absolute garbage.

The V70's style was in 2002... I dont know how they were able to reuse the same design and yet make it cost $2000. Marketing gimmick/rip-off. Im sorry Moto, but i think the D&G V3 was a better attempt at targeting gullible phone buyers

motorola cant stand and see how nokia is having so much success with their 8800 series, that they had to create such a HORRIBLE phone and just put a price tag of 2000 dollars so that any rich idiot can say "thats a cool phone, wow $2000! ill take it". this phone lacks personality, lacks style, innovation. and im sorry but a round or circular screen is NOT innovation. motorola get your head straight. if youre gonna launch a high end phone, do it right, dont just give it a higher price than all the awesome nokias so people think its better. we are not stupid.

Ok guys, all of you who say that this phone is crap or overpriced need to realize once and for all that this phone is a NOT FOR GEEKS phone. at 2000 USD its not bad It could have had a better camera sure, but then where would you house the hand made swiss mechanics? It could have wifi but who would use it, some corporate hot shot that uses it not to even make calls, just to show up with something like this makes an impression.
I would never buy it, its too expensive. But for the rich folks its perfect. No one has one and they probly wont make over 5,000 pieces of this. I can see this being a limited edition. even more the want factor.
So geeks and freaks, go get something that jam packed with features and look dorky.

Another V70......repeting the same mistake all over again instead of build new and more advanced models.....
Motorola no longer has the status to compete in this price tag, wehere even few Nokias survive...
People with this amount of mnoey buy Vertu or other brands more expensive....
Motorola really needs a new markting department....

Its a beautiful phone. And I really like the old V60. I really don't like the Nokia Arte thing too much I donno its nice but just dosn't do it for me. Personally I don't think worth the money, unless you've got it to spend. You can get a slightly older Nokia Luna and throw some platinum on it for about the same price. I donno I really do like it, but even if i had 2 grand to drop on a phone, I don't think i'd spend it on this.

If only Moto could put this much effort into their regular handsets! Moto haven't seen the best of times recently, but if the styling here in the Aura was passed down to the rest of their range i have no doubt their sales would pick up!
