Didn't we have enough of that with the display resolution? Even 16GB is way more than you need on a phone (outside of on-device AI-junk processing).

              Samsung now doing dirty work with their customers. They r slowing there devices and putting green lines with any problem. It's from.samsung. even am huge fan of Samsung galaxy from s1 device and specially all note series I always used. A big big disappointing.

                Am big fan of Samsung note serious from bugging and now my Samsung note 20 ultra 5g 512gb getting 3 green line in 2 months with no reason while using with very care as always.

                    Having more ram isn't the problem, but is the ram going to be efficient? I love samsung but when you look at the ram management, it's awful, my s22 ultra with 8gb of ram is having just 2gb available, system took the other 6, and it makes my phone lag a lot, please samsung should fix that 😢
                    Iphones with lesser ram, still feels more fluid.

                            GSM's own user poll indicated 870 of 4000 voters were definitely buying the prior s24 Ultra. So you all keep saying 'xiaomi, vivo, oppo' and indeed they are catching up in some ways with Samsung but - - you're likely not the market for the S25 Ultra. As is often the case.

                            In the US those brands aren't viable options (bands) and world-wide Samsung markets the A,M, and F series and sells tons of them. I guess they feel secure for a year in their flagships because the Flip changes were pretty underwhelming. Perhaps something big is planned for S26 and they really are marking time for a year. They'd better have something coming. if Xiaomi went after the N.A. market competitively Samsung is in for a bad time.

                              That would be a serious upgrade reason for me. My S23U with 8 GB is struggling in heavy games just because if the RAM limitations.

Phones don't have big games, video editing isn't easy on a phone and most people use streaming anyway so no need to cache, let's say, a blu-ray movie rip for smooth playback (which MPV allows you to do btw). I do think these companies need to push for more but yeah 12 GB is a good minimum.

                                I don't want any more RAM if it means the prices are gonna be jacked up. I'll only commend them if they give us more RAM for the same price. Otherwise I can just go get a Oneplus 12 from China with 24 GB RAM if I want expensive RAM options. Samsung's cameras are on the level of the OP 12 anyways. The S20 Ultra (a four year old phone) had 16 GB RAM as an option, and if they charge like 100 bucks more for a tiny RAM improvement? No thanks.

                                Anyways only for AI or something do I think more RAM might be needed, I can't think of a proper reason to get more RAM apart from future proofing which Scamsung phones don't need, no one's using it for more than 2-3 years and if they are using it for longer, they'd be happy with 4 gigs of RAM even.

I'm hoping they can bump those numbers up to 512 GB and 12 GB at the very least. RAM can be easily accounted for by using less layers in your editing app, less tabs on Chrome, etc. But storage is something that's crucial especially when RAW photography, videography, etc. is such an important thing. I filled up my 256 GB S22 Ultra in less than a year. Your Vivo is global and so they sent the higher trim to the global markets and jacked up the prices a little. Imagine lower prices than before and getting more storage/RAM, wouldn't that be a better value proposition? I think so at least. It seems to me that companies are giving you more RAM/storage but also charging more, Samsung is giving you more but is also charging more, so is Google and in every place other than America, Apple too. Greedy b*stards. If the market leaders do that, the Chinese do not have any need to provide too much other than just superior cameras but idk I wanna be optimistic.

                                    RAM has been no issue for me so yeah I think 12 GB is fine for a base storage but we should go for 16 GB ASAP due to AI.
