Xiaomi never ... moreThey maybe were not the clones that are sold on aliexpress, but they definetly were and still are cloning stuff from other brands, look at their Interface and you will notice a sudden resemblance of iphone, that was even more clear in the past with even icons beeing the same, and that's only scratching the surface. If you can read between the lines you also realise that i have never quite said that they started as knokoffs but yeah were not very far from one either. And are still not, in my opinion.

As forcalling me a liar and ignorant? I mean, if you can't read between the lines, it is not my fault it is your's. When i said, "i was exagerating" i was refering to the fact that i named knockoffs being sold on ali express, instead of some other chinese "brands" even tough was clear for me that "minu" does not comment about those scraps, but well i do not make a difference between them and "chinese brands", for me there is not much of a difference. But the rest was not an exagerarion, was the truth. Of course xiaomi did not start with knock off devices but as i already said, it was not far from it either. I mean one does not have to be a rocket scientiest to realise what they been selling back in 2015, or even now. All they did was cloning iphones or nokias or samsungs but mostly iphones. Even Interface of their so called OS is made to look like the one in an iphone. Also, quite often the specs were paper weight, that were not quite on paar to what the device should be working. From high resolution camera that took garbage photos to say the least, to performance SoC that were lagging behind in almost all aspects, so yeah, if you can read between the lines, then you also understand my comments, if not, well.. i don't care.

                          Do share if you know of any early xiaomi phone that did something like the '15-20% lesser than advertised' thing.

                            The display on the M15 looks far "better" because it's an AMOLED display with a twice higher resolution, unlike the G42 with a 720p IPS display.

                            If the Nokia G42 feels inefficient, I recommend you to speed up/disable the animations.

                            As a peer GSMArena commentator, I suggest you to have a better idea of what you comment here, and compare the specifications to the price you've paid for each phones. Common sense is key.

                            Your argument would make perfect sense, if you compared 2 phones in the same price segment/market, which you didn't, in the first place

                              15 pro max is rated for 4422mah, 3.869v, 17.109wh, written on the battery. Theres no typical capacity written.

                              So no the voltage isnt higher and the wh is as far behind as the mah suggests.

You can find them everywhere on aliexpress... of corse they are mostly knokoffs, but not far from how xiaomi and ither chinese started...

X30 on android 14 here, never had an app get killed by the system, and i have pretty important apps thet NEED to stay active at all times like, macrodroid, RethinkDNS, FairMail. These apps run in background like champs, and i mean i barerly open the first two, being "set it and forget it" type.

So i doubt that "your problem" was the some kind of "general inneficiency in hardware" as you seem to claim, more like a virus; an app; an isolated problem with the device itself; or with the battery; or a claim made randomly by somebody that never used the device. M15 is definetly the worse between the two and Mediateck is not really a great SoC either, smooth OS in a low end samsung device is hard ro believe, with all the bloatware and other garbage samsung os holds, but well, to each his own. Calling g42 a device with rudimentry hardware makes the M15 a relic. Nope having a cheap amoled in a cheap device, does not sudently make the device better overall with great new hardware.
