Hmm, 01 Aug 2024After so many years people still don't understand what... moreCope, there's literally NO reason why the makers of Android, being a trillion dollar company, cant output a phone that top of the line specs, they should be the standard to which other phones are compared, but nope, cant make the right choices. wonder not when they eventually kill the pixel line just as they did with the nexus line, and another poorly done, poorly performing slop with mediocre specs, will be released again,

The Pixel line-up won't be serious til they switch to TSMC for the Pixel 10 lineup. Even then I'll still be skeptical. They should've collab with MediaTek.

At this point they could've easily chosen to follow Moto's footsteps and go for Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 for Pro/Pro XL and Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 for the vanilla version. It's nothing new, we know they made a similar choice for Pixel 5 and turned it into mid-high smartphone with flagship cameras with decent pricing.

After so many years people still don't understand what Pixel is? It never was about top chips and never will be. It's a clean and sleek pure Android experience with the best cameras in the business. Regular people don't care if phone has 300000 or 280000 benchmark score.

We've hit peak performance on smartphones a long time ago. Any more improvement just uses more power, which is not ideal in a "portable handheld".

If it's does not get as hot, the connectivity is good, as well as the battery life, I will upgrade. I use the 6 and I'm satisfied with performance.

Google is taking advantage of the situation by doing this and they can do it simply because people will buy a pixel for the camera.
However would be good to see bigger battery with better battery efficiency.

Yeah don't buy a Pixel until the Pixel 11 comes out.
Because that in-house chipset the Pixel 10 will have os guaranteed to be crap. Wait for the second version.
