Never mind the smartwatch and the wireless earbuds, Samsung have been long doing it with smartphones. Samsung started to slowly remove the headphone jack on the Galaxy Note10 series, and then later the microSD card slot on the Galaxy S21 series. Samsung should have keep both of them to differentiate it from iPhone, just like Sony do. After all, Sony did remove the headphone jack from the 2018 and 2019 flagships. Guess what happened with the 2020 Xperia 1 Mk2? Sony put it back and keep it to this day.

The galaxy watch ultra is a fitness and rugged smartwatch, it's not replacing the classic in anyway. Watch 4 classic and then watch 5 pro, watch 6 classic and then watch ultra. Next year we get the watch 8 classic with rotating bezels. Now that the boss is angry do you think he'll still allow them release an updated watch ultra? I don't think so. But I think Roh should be fired both with their designers, employ new ones and start afresh without copying Apple. Imagine swapping out 10x for a 5x because apple uses a 5x now. Imagine putting titanium just because of Apple. Please he needs to be fired. I don't blame their boss. The s23 ultra never copied anything from iPhones, but this 2024 s series just blindly went out of ideas and decided to copy. Sad, that watch ultra is the ugliest thing they've released. The watch 6 classic is by far more premium than it. Bring someone who can innovate again. I read an article in 2020 about them bringing a 650mp sensor to rival the human eye, but can't seem to be possible for now. Since their so stagnated even hmd and Apple innovate more than them this days. They only innovate in displays and memory.

As the chairman, he should have probably gone for a check of the products before launch, because it was launched with the galaxy fold and flip, which was significant launch of the year

Good. Get that TM Roh guy out of the company. Since he took in, everything went downhill at Samsung.
Killed Note series, killed flagship features, killed FE lineup. Even the Tab S series is suffering right now

Samsung is a massive company with many divisions beyond just consumer electronics (defense products, insurance, hotels, hospitals, construction, fabs, etc), so there is a good chance the CEO had no idea about the actual look and feel of the new mobile products before they went out the door and instead only had a high level understanding of the new product changes.

Here's hoping the next few years will bring big changes then. Bring back the circular watches with rotating bezels, get rid of the orange bands and add traditional watch options like brown leather and steel, and bring back the OG buds design but add a wing tip or an over ear loop for comfort. People are more likely to wear a smartwatch if it looks like a watch not a toy.
