iPad Pro is the best selling iPad

Surprisingly, the most expensive of the line is the most sought after.

That’s because it’s the only iPad with a proper generational jump in specs. M4 and OLED are quite a huge upgrade for Apple who usually change very little year to year.

    Those are the main alternatives to the iPad. If someone is going to buy an iPad they either want it for their profession or to just get a big screen. Most people want the iPad Pro, only kids need the base iPads. There's the Amazon Kindle for people who want to read books so yeah, there's a lot of things that can deter a person. Besides, Apple fanboys will buy nearly anything but Apple has marketed the iPad Pro so effectively the base iPads feel like b*stard children.

    My point is it is an effective upsell. The marketing team did their job and made the base iPad non-existent in the public's mind to promote the iPad Pros. So that's another reason why people won't want to buy a base iPad.

    What are you on about though? Do you seriously think most people who are interested in the Apple ecosystem don't have any money or something? That one is just there to leech the most amount of money from the least amount of people and the sales number prove that further. Again, only kids are into the basic tasks, most users are either using it alongside their Macs or this is their only "Pro" hardware.

        lack of 120hz display as opposed to the plethora of rival tablets at that price point?
        I'll give you the 64gb storage. that is not great. In all other regards the iPad 10 is a fine device. Actually, most argue that it'll accomplish most of the same tasks as the higher end iPads but at a much lower price.

        And though I'm not entirely certain what point you are trying to make with this, I will agree Apple's marketing does indeed work well. Imagine that eh, a business with a successful marketing strategy, what a strange notion 🤔

                This is not surprising. Any marketing 101 students would come up with the same conclusion. Apple segment is quite clear. This also explains why the $1000 iPhone X was best selling, and why the more expensive Pro iPhones continue to be the best selling models.

                  [deleted post]I heavily disagree with you, i wouldn't buy iPad without 120hz screen. That's one of the biggest reasons if not biggest to go for Pro. It's a feature you see and feel everytime you use device, so it makes very big difference in everyday usage

                  By the way you sound jealous, let people use their money how they want, they know better than you what they want from the device and how they use it, obviously 😉

                    If these devices are made to be for pros, they'd rather spend more to get a better product. Not many people like to admit but Apple's marketing works well.

                          [deleted post]I totally agree though I do own iPad Pro M4 2024 LTE model but literally not very useful considering the price point it is being offered. Good for lightweight content creation, consumption (I don’t watch movies or play games in my iPad). Earlier I had Samsung Galaxy Tab 7+ which I used it for Netflix / Amazon Prime etc…but iPad Form Factor is not very convenient for watching videos. Besides, iPad OS is very childish and not much to offer. You can’t even use WhatsApp or send iMessages using your LTE number. There are way too many restrictions using iPad beyond doing few simple tasks which can be done by any other device.

                              It's how it's so similarly priced to Macs when you add on the Magic Keyboard that's the problem.

                                It is probably due to the pricing tier based on the Memory and LTE combo. As you start choosing higher storage options and LTE, the price gets closer to the Pro Model. Pro typically comes with OLED, better RAM, hence people actually pick up Pro model, lowest variant. Not surprising! Apple always keep pushing you to buy their top end by making their lower end look almost useless when comparing with higher end variants.

                                  Not surprised, what Apple have done with iPad Pro is pretty incredible, especially now how thin new iPad Pro's are. First i thought it's something which only look good on paper, but the new Pros are actually super thin.

It's still built on the old iPad air body, still have the same giant bezels and 60hz screen, yet they want people to buy them when all the upgrades where for the pro only. Lol

                                        If they make a "pro" that is 8-9 inches. It will also sell well.

                                        If you want spend the money, no one want to spend little just to be stuck with bad specs for years.
