I want a super sonic fast charging phone 😍 but please Realme don't reduce it's capacity 5500mAh - 6000mAh with fast fat charging 😘

    IpsDisplay, 12 Aug 2024I can't recall having a 2 year obligation to a random ... moreWhere is list of those with 65, 68, 80, 100 or more?
Not gonna post to avoid admit they all are above 44 celsius.

    Using 40 Neo now. Have tested its 68W x 20W ( from G series).
    There is significant difference.
With 20W, phone basically no difference of how cool it is while standby.
With 68W, it is hot like when people play any heavy game for minutes.

Days ago I wanted to know how long it could record 4K before getting hot.
After 32min, phone was now near as hot as it gets while fast charging.

Dont you think weird that after using over 200, realme and vivo ( through iqoo) stopped using for more than 1 year?
Oppo , the vooc creator, does not put 150 , 200 or 240 on own phones.

[deleted post]Don't bother. It is just person that praises new tech but gets mad when other use new tech before chinese phones. Made huge scandal because Xperia has latest sony semicon tech ( imx888) instead of using the 2021 imx989 , got mad because Xiaomi still does not have exmor T on 1500 euros phones when even lame iPhone 15 has.

Still hasn't shown here any phone with fast charge that does not get hot. Could never explain why mix 4 reached 65 celcius while charging at 120W.

Ignore him. If iphone or galaxy were phones with 300W, would be bashing surely.

Anyway, testing myself was enough to see that phone increases temperature with different charging speed.

I did some digging using device specifications

          I checked a couple 15w smartphones

smartisan nut pro 2 seeing it's charging curve at 42° to 43°
          Xiaomi mi 8 -40°c
          Galaxy S10 - 39°(10w)
          Galaxy A52 34°
          Galaxy S9 35°

Not seeing any below 30 and it's almost impossible to get temp readings from higher charging smartphones those that review them don't record temperatures

But until you randomly claim you've been asking me for something again for 2 years later in the future maybe it'll be about benchmarks

But why say I can't say "people like you" but then you label me as "people like you" at least live up to the standard your defending

And how would companies even dream of milking me for cash when I gave the alternative of using the charger you already have? That's not in line with consumerism isn't it so what kind of conclusion is that?

I'm all for fast charging but there should be a limit to everything.

That's what the companies wants, battery will be damaged and you have to spend more money on repairs.

I can safely say that companies dream of having consumers like you who are nothing but cash cow for them.

Heis, 12 Aug 2024Exactly...i buy flagships so i can use it for 5-6 years. M... moreBoy there is a lot wrong with your reasoning:

                    First one is scale..

Not only are smartphone batteries smaller they are offered replacements through warranty especially through OnePlus' parent company OPPO

At smaller scale worse case scenario it can be replaced and at least such an option is being offered even if it's not widely available

In addition smartphones go through aggressive development cycles yearly and even 6 months so improvements on the technology and its potentially risk translate much better so the Tesla comparison doesn't hold up.. those are CAR batteries

This is the same case for OLED Samsung would never DARE producing smartphone type OLED to TV sizes

Secondly you can just use your current OP7 charger anyways I dunno fast charging is always an optional feature some smartphones even allow you to set the watts yourself in the phone settings

Allow fast charging to be developed and go through generational improvements so then when 2000w charging comes out people like yourself can say 320w is more than enough in the future when the new standard becomes yesterday's ultra fast charging

Sporting Motorola edge 40 pro with a 125W charger in box. Charging only this much i am heavy gamer as well charging once sometimes twice a day. After 13 months of use bought my phone in july 2023 my battery is still great at 93% capacity by some apps.
Still can last a day on a heavy usage or 3-5 days on medium to light use.
                        No issues.

Do you really think that a company which invest millions on fast charging on battery technology and on many else research and developement with knowing there is a tons of regulation offices, aggencies, laws etc which they must obey to release this product into the market and make it safe to use for everyone.
Do you really think they spent this much time money and effort to make something which is doomed from the first time???
                        I really dont think so.

Changes made to support fast charging in the smartphone industry:

                                  -Dual cell batteries
                                  -Dedicated chipsets to monitor voltage/heat
                                  -Better passive and active cooling
-better charge rate batteries 4c 5c etc
                                  -increased battery warranty
-promises of double charging cycle/longevity to 1600

Lastly and most recent varying battery chemistry with silicon and by extension larger batteries

It's empty criticism when you consider the charging watts change based on the stage of the charging so it might charge for 10w for x time

Meanwhile fear around fast charging had remained the same

And the irony to reduce damage from fast charging is to keep developing fast charging with improvements over generations of the technology

And not trying at all and keeping things the same actually makes fast charging development worse

And the batteries in history that have the worst degradation and explosions came from safe player Samsung with their swelling batteries
