Isn't the whole idea of making an FE version of any mobile phone to make it less expensive and therefore more affordable for the masses that want flagship phone performance and durability? SAMSUNG seems to disappoint people. If I pay substantial amounts of money for a flagship phone, they should perform better and last longer than midrange phones. I checked the battery capacity on the S21 FE 5G. It is 4500 mAh. Meanwhile, the A53 5G lasts longer because its battery is bigger at 5000 mAh. Something isn't right with this scenario. Why does a midrange mobile phone outlast a flagship phone? Shouldn't it be reversed? It would depend on how heavily one uses their phone too. However, the above scenario doesn't sit well with me. When you pay for a flight mobile it should have top quality parts and support. Assuming that the S24 FE follows the same design logic, we are being ripped off. I might as well buy an A series midrange mobile phone and save tons of money while getting dependable, longer lasting life from the phone. The last thing people want is to pay bog money in return for a phone that underperforms and has a shorter overall life due to a small battery. If the S25 is like my current phone then SAMSUNG is not doing a good enough job with its top-of-the-line phones. Am I missing or misunderstanding something?

I am using S21FE and planning to upgrade to S24FE but seems like Samsung don't want to. The 4500mAh battery is the biggest deal-breaker.

Am I one excited that they put Underclock version of Exynos 2400 which will make it less heating. This should probably help prolong peak performance.

But 6.7 inch screen, why? Its already alright in the middle with 6.4-6.5 inch to fill in the gap between base S24 and S24+. And yet they only put same battery size, I dunno Samsung I dunno.

Really glad I got the S24+ US version and didn't wait for this nonsense. Very disappointing spec on every parameter.

DOA with the OnePlus 12r being much better imo.

Anonymous, 12 Aug 2024Simple to fix next year S25/25+: 1200p/1440p, 8g4, 1... moreSeveral problems there:
•Why should the S25 and S25+ have an IMX564 for their ultrawide? Completely uncompetitive. Give them an IMX858. If Vivo can use the JN1 for the ultrawide on a device much cheaper, then Samsung can use something better than that on a flagship.
•Why not use 24mm focal length for the S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra too? Samsung certainly has no excuse to use the too wide 23mm focal length when they're not using a 1"-type sensor. There is enough space, Samsung just wants to cost cut and increase those ridiculously fat margins. This also obviously means that the ultrawides should be 12mm.
•For selfies, the S25 and S25+ should use the JN1 (or the newly announced JN4, which is a refinement of it that has QPAF) and the S25 Ultra should use the IMX858 (since it *is* called an "Ultra" flagship after all).
•The S25 and S25+'s 3× periscope should be 84mm in accordance with the 24mm main camera.
                                •The S25 Ultra's 80-160mm could instead be 72-168mm.
                                •The S25 Ultra's main camera should be a refined GN2.

Getting rid of the A5x range makes sense, on the other hand. I have zero complaints or doubts here.

FE is not to be blamed. Samsung should lower the price of A55 and cut back on unnecessary hardware like aluminium frame & victus + glass while keeping everything else same. To segment better they need to improve cameras on S & FE series which have fallen low.
