SD Cardigan, 12 Aug 2024The comments here say 'no sd card/nfc/aux port, no buy... moretrue, they just complain
They want devices with the latest generation processor, 1-inch camera, 120W charging
but they want all this for 300 dollars, because in their minds the companies don't have the expense to produce all this.🙄🙄

I think the oneplus 12 and 12r are good for what they offer. I was going to buy a 12r but the curved screen is a deal breaker for me.
The other phone I'm looking at is a nothing 2a or 2a plus if I can get a good discount for it or maybe get one open box.

This year no-one is making good phones, they keep downgrading and getting expensive.
Skip this year guys.
OnePlus 12 somewhat is good but they can't make waterproof phones, that's why makes them unreliable.
Other than that I'm not seeing any good phone, so disappointing.
Motorolas are ruining their phones thanks to poleds.
Xiaomi is ruining them with smaller battery plus dimenclsity.
Realme has build quality issues and breaks in water.
And Samsung.. they never learn. Exynos + bad battery+ worse charging speed on the market + unreliable usb c ports and misreading wet/dust sensors.

the exynos 2400 has already proven to be a great processor
what Samsung would have to do was put at least a 4700mAh, 5000mAh battery
and reduce the front edges, they have to be smaller than those of the s23FE and the Galaxy a55
but the s24 FE overall I think it will be a success

Snapdragon 695 hater, 12 Aug 2024I've seen many comments here saying that 5000mah is no... moreThe comments here say 'no sd card/nfc/aux port, no buy' or label every single release 'e-waste'. Not sure they represent most customers. Apple Store buyers don't ask how many mah the battery is (if they did they'd be surprised by the 3200ish rating). Some have noted this underclocked processor may help with battery life 🤷.
gsm users hate everything lol. everything is under equipped and over priced. we need max specs for $250 USD. A 7000mah battery but the phone better be paper thin, ultra strong, and weigh less than smoke. If it doesn't meet these metrics it is e-waste

I've seen many comments here saying that 5000mah is now considered a small battery and customers want more battery. Rightfully so as smartphones have become mini computers and require more power with high refresh rates etc.
The fact that this has a 4,565 mAh shows samsung is not listening to what customers want. This must be a deal breaker for some surely? Especially considering the price of this won't be cheap on launch.

Looking forward to see whether the A56 will finally be fully featured and get wireless charging, or if if that is still exclusive to the S series. Other things (LTPO, smaller bezels, 3x telephoto) I really don’t care much about tbh, though I don’t know if that 3x telephoto is actually noticeably better than digital zoom.

CoinSide, 12 Aug 2024The exynos 2400 is good enough if it launches at 700 or les... moreThe FE doesn't even need to exist anymore, since Scamsung has raised the price of their A-series phones up so much that the A55 is almost the same price as the FE phones.
The other problem is that the S24 is just too close to the A55 in terms of what it offers, so slotting something in between the two is always going to lead to a half-baked product that is worse in some areas than the A55 but better in others. And yet, none of this would be the case if Samsung was still making innovative, competitive devices that clearly got better ever year. That's why the S20 FE was so well received, while the S23 FE's reception was lukewarm at best (especially since they had to gimp its battery life with both a smaller capacity battery than both the A54 and the S23+ and an incredibly inefficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset/still somewhat inefficient Exynos 2200 chipset)
If the S24 had 12GB of RAM, and if the S24 and S24+ had 3× periscopes with a sensor like the Sony IMX858, with support for macro; used at least an Sony IMX858 for the ultrawide, once again with macro support; had a 50MP 1/1.3"-type sensor like the Samsung ISOCELL GNK for the main camera; and had a Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor for the selfie camera — then I would see the use in having an S24 FE. Said S24 FE would utilise the 10MP sensor behind a regular 3× telephoto lens that the S24 and S24 currently utilise, and come with a 5,000mAh battery and the 12MP selfie camera that the S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra currently utilise, complete with autofocus.

The exynos 2400 is good enough if it launches at 700 or less euros/dollars as for the rest of the phone, we'll see when it launches.
Also I don't like how the FE series always launches close to the next android update because of what happened with galaxy S23 FE when it launched before one UI 6 was made so it has less Major OS updates.
