I dont need to say anything further. All comments posted tell this situation as it is.
Just wanted to say the android smartphone market is totally cooked out here. Thanks Google, motorola, hmd, samsung and all the rest for putting out total lackluster phones this year. I'll give credit to the oneplus 12 and 12r but the curved screens got to go.

Scam. These phones are not that expensive. They are preying on ignorant Westerners who don't know that the global market is far more competitive than this.

Oneplus right now are selling their flagship on their official website for 1000€. This is the same price category as Pixel 9 Pro. I've seen also other mentioning Huawei etc., wake up kids, Huawei flagships are now also 1000€+.
As for charging speeds... lmao that's not even an argument. Everyone knows that big brands (Apple, Samsung, Google) have "slower" charging speeds only to protect battery. Chinese brands don't care about such things, most of them barely have 2 years of software updates.

Hmm, 13 Aug 2024So have you all not checked prices last 2 years? Inflation?... moreIs this a joke? The One Plus 12 that came out at a price very close to the Pixel 9 (no more than €70 difference), came with 256 GB of storage, optical zoom, faster charging and a faster SoC... And it's a device that will soon be replaced...

They're also now on pre-order in Romania via eMAG, the very first Pixels to be sold here officially.
Too bad their pricing strategy is horrible. Yeah good luck trying to penetrate a market dominated by Samsung and chinese OEMs.

So have you all not checked prices last 2 years? Inflation? Everything getting more expensive? Did you just wake up from slumber and missed it all? Even traditionally "budget" brands like OnePlus now sell phone for a 1000€. So Pixel 9 Pro for 1100€ isn't much different, considering you'll probably get better cameras and better software. Basically, if you want a premium flagship phone, you gotta pay about 1000€ nowadays.
Or wait for discount or get better jobs. Whining will not change anything.

Ridiculous pricing and I like Pixels phones. If anyone's seriously considering purchasing one, you either have carrier deals or wait a couple months for discounts like Black Friday or Amazon sales and so on.

These phones are so expensive...
1100€ for a 128GB model of the 9 pro, 1200€ for the 128GB 9 Pro XL, 900€ for the 128GB Pixel 9. All of these pricepoints should never even see 128GB as an option... 256GB should be the default at that price, heck, after a thousand your really should ask for 512GB.
I am very upset and sad of the state of the european smartphone market, prices have been distorted through brand recognition to the point where flagships are no longer tech products, they're luxury products. It's not about the actual tech anymore, it's about the brand.
I understand that it makes business sense to sell your phones at these prices if you can, and purposely not make them too expensive to produce as well while at it by stagnating the hardware as long as possible. But truth be told, everyone should feel cheated by that strategy.
The Pixel 9 should cost 600€ (Or even lower) for the 128gb model, its specs don't match that of a phone that costs more than importing a Find X7 Ultra for exemple. It may have great displays and a good enough high-end main/UW setup (not quite flagship), but that's all. No telephoto camera for 900 euros is absurd. I could go on about all of these new releases but they're just not worth it at their launch prices, and as an end-user I feel insulted that Google is trying to sell those at such prices.
