Nowaday, everything in phone, from gaming, edit video, watching movie, that's why phone get the latest technology that possible, every apps is mobile first, web development focuse on mobile first.

A thing about apples processors is they may be better but day to day performance they are about the same as android, meaning apple actually doesn't put effort into optimizing.
Apple also never cared for thermos meaning some Android phones have better sustained performance.

I actually like these phones a lot and will probably buy 2. A 9 Pro and a 9 or 2x 9 Pros, BUT... these prices are awful. It doesn't matter how many sales Google will run, a bad launch with an unpalatable price will kill the brand. Just ask Sony and LG. I understand inflation is the "reason" for smartphone price bumps, but this also impacts the buyer just as much. I think Google will have lost a big part of their core customers. If their goal is to be the iPhone of Android well... they won't dethrone Samsung without a fight especially not at price parity or worse, more expensive.

You'll be fine with the Tensor G4 for 7 years of Pixel-exclusive feature drops. If your priority is performance simply buy an Xbox. If portable gaming is your priority, simply buy dedicated hardware like a Switch.

Pixels are the worse. aka Android without choice. Expensive, lack performance.
If you are a minimalist, you would have pick iPhones.
If you desire customisation, you would pick Samsung.
If you desire price or legacy ports, you would pick one plus or the others.
Tested phones with the above for nearly 10 years. Just follow the above guide, and you will never go wrong. But be my guest, go buy a pixel and be bitter.

I don't care about long software update since I always replace phone every three or four years time, and my current Xperia 1 iv turns out to be a much better buy than the old Galaxy S22 Ultra.

- https... morefew people know that the very top influencers like mqbhd, while not in the teampixel program is paid 100-500k to cover pixel every year. (thats ways better than being in teampixel obviously).
pixel is a good phone, imo, but its hard to believe these influencers on anything once youve looked behind the curtain. other big brands pay the same.
