Leaked slide reveals that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is a 3nm chip with an Oryon CPU

19 August 2024
There will be two versions, SM8750 and SM8750P. The "P" presumably stands for "performance".

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2024Switch ports of those games look like games from the PS2/Xb... moreSkyrim looks pretty cool and performance is smooth, which isn't bad for a console that uses hardware from 2015. The important thing is that Snapdragon and MediaTek can't even run Xbox or PS2 games. GTA: SA Definitive Edition and Red Dead Redemption are also available on Switch and are not even available on Android.

All of this basically confirmed that Moore is an idiot who made a stupid law

just gaming phones like ROG and Red Magic can get 2.6+ million AnTuTu on this SoC, regular flagships only get 1.8 million unless they have pretty good cooling like the Vivo X100 Pro, Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Zenfone.

The same problems are not seen with the Apple Bionic and even less so with the A17 Pro. If performance is the most important thing, buy an iPhone. Simple.

                      🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

                      1) dslr means the camera has mirror that pushes light to a second sensor responsible for focusing system. It does not mean pro gear. Even a 1/4" can be used by dsrl.

                      2) jpeg of phones are far behind even cameras with smaller sensors, just read comments on photography websites to see how much they bash phones. On DPReview, people were celebrating Halide is gonna allow dng on iphones without Apple processing baked into it.

                      3) no, you do not need powerful processors. Ones inside photocameras are bad, still these cameras provide best image quality the sensor can give. For reference, BionzXR is ARM 2013 tech.

This chip is a beast but phones are going to be really expensive rocking this chip. The 8 gen 1 is still a beast which is a good thing because any phone after that you just pick up last year's model.

You see, even the SD8+Gen1 just 2 years time are now considered an upper midrange chip and might get hiccups on newer games like COD Warzone, so SoCs need to evolve fast reaching the levels if not by par laptop level CPUs.
