When they would take away charging port then why would there be replaceable batteries ? Like you think for the water and dust resistance but that is all out of the door if you can remove the back panel to replace battery

I regret putting it in a half filled mug of water for few minutes and destroying the lcd panel :(

This reminds me of the button-less and port-less iPhone rumors we used to see on tech sites every month 10-15 years ago.

What's the point of button-less. I like buttons. I guess it will have buttons just different.

Only button I use in Xiaomi phone is 'power button' to turn it on/off or restart it. I can control the volume by control panel that I prefer.

Power button can be replaced by using control panel as in Samsung. Some devices I have doesn't have any buttons. I can turn it on by plugging it to chargers.

Don't mind good old side buttons / 3.5 jack / physical simcard, just give me under-display selfie camera, or a screen without notch or punchhole. My Mi9 T keeps going, but for how long ?
In fact, you can remove selfie cam !

Buttonless means less moving parts, less malfunctions, less damage and repair. Also means improved dust and water resistance. Even better if they remove charging port and give it replaceable battery.
