As is usually the case, the global release will probably be later than that.

If their battery life is the same as others I'll consider them equal to other phones. If the battery is 7k mah yeowzers it sounds like an amazing deal.

And why would I choose Xiaomi? It's a genuinely good phone. The difference between a flagship and flagship killer is the set of cameras. The S24 Ultra is more in line with a Oneplus 12/IQOO 12 in terms of cameras. You might like getting midrange cameras for flagship money, I don't. Photography is a hobby for me and I've gotten into it with the help of my phones. The 14 Ultra has been getting fast enough updates and they've fixed most of the issues so I'd be fine if the updates fix issues within a year and then become slow. 4 years is plenty of time for me, I'll use the phone for at best 3 years and then go for another phone. I don't feel comfortable with changing batteries by myself OR giving the phone to a random bloke in a repair shop so unless we get replaceable batteries I'm not using phones for more than 2-3 years cus batteries degrade.

You are free to like iPhones and Samsungs but I want value out of the product I get for WHATEVER tasks I will do. And since I'm more concerned with photography than anything else, I'll pay for the higher prices. And I don't support poor business practices, I don't like Samsung, Google or Apple's current business ideology so I won't support them, they're leeching off of customers. If Xiaomi, Vivo or even Oppo does that I'll forget about them too. If all of them do it I'll choose the lesser of all the evils. That's just me being an Asian ig, I have been taught as a kid to look for the most bang for my buck. It doesn't mean I won't pay high prices ofc as you can tell by me paying for such expensive phones that cost more than the best monitors out rn lol

I don't understand how Xiaomi are still in business, and how do they really think they can be a flagship phone maker. their software is thrash and it's been going like this forever, with no optimizations whatsoever just releasing a new phone every second. and apparently they have no plans to make their software better especially when it comes to battery optimization, soo stay away from expensive Xiaomi phones unless you want to throw away your money 💰

jiyen235, 27 Aug 20241 TB model at 1500 euros or 512 gb model for 1350 euros or ... moreQuestion is, why would you pick Xiaomi for that kind of money when you have Samsung and also iPhones at that price? If only Xioami did better with software support. Always making excuses "people don't have same phones for long" is so tired and annoying. Xiaomi doesn't even fall into my "wishlist" because it doesn't fulfill this quality.

1 TB model at 1500 euros or 512 gb model for 1350 euros or cheaper would make it acceptable. I don't see any reason why an Ultra phone can't have a 1 TB model at 1500 euros. Besides, my main gripe is their battery life, it suuuuuucks. Their cameras are banger and really interesting due to Leica Authentic and Vibrant. An Ultra should come at 512 GB at its base, flagship killers should come at 512 and only lower midrange phones should come at 128 gb.

For the price the Xiaomi is charging globally and for "only" 512 GB, it's a shame. The X100 Pro came in at 1200 euros for 512 GB as well, I don't see Xiaomi's phone being worth 300 euros more at the same storage amount. In India the pricing difference is ~120 dollars, and only then is it "acceptable".

If they can fix battery and come in as "cheap" as Vivo's offerings I'll gladly buy one. Ik the Vivo X100 Pro is only a "Pro" model and the 14 Ultra is an "Ultra" model but all that matters are the results and both are quite great overall and quite versatile.

justasmile, 27 Aug 2024Curved panel? No way.I wanted to say flat panel, but the keyboard did its usual mischief!! I want a flat panel
