Those folding laptops uses multiple panels with their own bezel, meanwhile foldable phone uses a single panel with flexible plastic, let's not forget they want to make it as thin as possible instead of as thick as a laptop.

Example the 3 way foldable by Tecno can have Mid range cpu, mediocore camera, software support by 1 year, bellow average audio and rather cheap feeling hinges.
HUawei and Xiaomi are going to use the latest Snapdragon 8 gen 3 or 4, Best Camera and offer 4-5 years updates. That's why it's taking so long.
Same is for cars. There are many cars out there with rather bad seats,borrowed engine from other companies,tires from other companies,everything made by lower brand companies but outside look like a Porche or Ferrari.

I love how underdog and indie developers make better quality content than billionare companies which duopolize the market.
Shame Techno products only offer the worst software support out there and barely 1 year updates even on their flagships.

I don't like big phones or big tablets so a smaller one that folds out into something more like an 8" tablet would be a huge hit with me.

It's literally in the name... moreyou should be embarrassed, look at Asus and Lenovo can already make 3 screen laptops for $4000, even unbranded laptops in China with 3 screens have many variants, the drawback is that they are not durable and have low specifications, now the same model will soon be applied to cellphones, which is a problem is the battery life, it can be at least 10,000 mAh, and the RAM must be at least 16 GB and the fabrication must be at least 2nm and the internal speed uses LPDR5X not UFS 4.0, I guarantee that the 3-screen Techno concept will be realized in 2027

This seems like a Royole Flexpai debut. Aka, Tecno were slowly cooking and suddenly a competitor releasing a similar product is imminent. (Richard Yu being spotted using a Huawei Trifold) Tecno panics and releases their half baked product.

Are these fanboys for real? It's literally in the name, "concept". It's just CGI, fake even, not even prototype exist.
Besides even if that true it will take them another year before they can make their own tri-fold since Huawei's not even out.
Innovation is cool and all but this one is literally just an ad to bait fanboys into believing they have so much engineering prowess when in fact it's their 3DCG department doing their job, and it's working.

They'd be fine with the S28 Ultra having 5k mah battery, the same cameras as today and the same brightness level cus it's samsung/a trusted brand. Ignore them. Let's all just try to provide Tecno with positive vibes. They deserve a round of applause for trying something new, something which the big companies aren't doing and that's depressing to me.

It is a sweet concept, but more moving parts - more problems, and industry didn't solve all the issues with single fold yet.
