Haven't seen any of the phones live yet, but after reading the reviews I think I'll go with the HTC touch HD because of its slimmer looks, flash support and so on... though I think a hardware qwerty-keybboard is a very very nice thing... both are very nice phones...

i think if it work with touch pen it will be better than now and easy to use ..
& the phone now in Gitex in Dubai for UAE ppl .. but i don't know when it will be in shop.?!

i hv iphone 2G & 3G..my friend bought this phone couple weeks ago..compared to my iphone..
heres my comment about this phone:
-compact design / stylish
-easy touch full qwerty keyboard
-nice display but a bit slow interface ( lag )
-friendly user front keys / menu
-softwares for this phone is limited
-camera work very good
i like this phone..but im sorry to say.. it still behind HTC diamond..
and iPhone is da best of allz..

For all those people outside UK, your mobile industry is not as huge as UK, it is already out here and it is not rocking.....

i will never ever support SE,once another new product launched,SE will stop updating this X1 such as P990i,P1i and G900.I will go for HTC.

ahmad, 23 Oct 2008i had the htc touch pro and the samsung omnia i900 none cam... moreI have also the Htc PRO, and I can see nothing is special here. Anyone can download spb shell for $30, but the touch flo 3d is only designed for Htc. I can understand that the hardware is better than the Pro, but let's wait and see the real performance of the set.
I can see that this slight difference will not push me to get this set when it is released, but instead I should wait for the Htc touch HD with the keyboard if this rumor is correct.
Beside all that the set is delayed for a long time where I am enjoying using my Htc Pro instead of waiting all this long time.

rang SE in Australia, they say they don't know which carrier is bringing this phone out, but they are 100% it will be out BEFORE christmas.. heres hoping SE!!
i saw someone post a note as to if X1 can take an iphone skin/panel...why would you..go buy an iphone leave X1 to the experts who will appriciate it...go and get carried away by the mindless nonesense that is the iphone... more trouble than its worth i say.. and belive me.. i manage an OPtus store...

Khalil, 23 Oct 2008you got it all wrong buddy, this phone was fully designed b... moreit was actually designed and manufactured by HTC.
the only thing that was designed by SE is its facial looks.
even the interface wasn't SE, it utilizes third party interface (SPB mobileshell interface).

Well I'd lyk 2 hold take dat piece 4 a test as soon as it arrives here in South Africa. Pity SE has chuck UIQ away but maybe WinMo is de way 2 go and I hope Motorola throws it away 2 and focus on WinMo, MotoMagix Linux and Android which are reported to be working on a smartphone based on that new OS.
