And all the other "Ultra" flagships coming soon.

jiyen235, 29 Aug 2024good ideas but you forgot that Samsung doesn't like to... moreThanks for the feedback! As for the Vizion sensor, that one uses metalenses and is Metalenz's first non-ToF sensor to use this. It's meant for facial recognition and is not only ridiculously tiny, but it's also much faster and extremely accurate, since it evaluates the polarity of your face to unlock it. Apple's setup's biggest weakness is in extreme sunlight, which this sensor wouldn't have. It's an extremely cool piece of tech that would use up almost no space at all, and I not only want to see it on phones, I also do know that this is coming to phones in 2025 or 2026.

atichko, 29 Aug 2024So the new craze will be "thin, thinner, thinnest"... moreRemember this happened with when iphone 6 came out and other companies started to compete in thin bezels department-_- I want battery life, not slim phone..women put phone in the bag and men dont mind to carry big phones, thats all about

maybe it's finally understood that it's not nice to carry bricks around in your pocket. 200g should be the weight limit

Would be great I’d at least one manufacturer keeps weight in mind. And the 16 Pro Max is rumored to be 8.3mm so this is very likely 8.2mm or thinner.

So the new craze will be "thin, thinner, thinnest". Way to go, lets all imitate each other. Curious to see how well these thin devices will fare in bend tests...

When it is true, S25U will be like Note10+

Dear Samsung, just make the phone thicker and add a bigger battery! You choose the wrong direction, wake up!

Darth Caesium, 29 Aug 2024This is my idea for what you could do with the Samsung Gala... moregood ideas but you forgot that Samsung doesn't like to give out high value products. They want to give you the least that they can get away with. Also "vertical integration" wow, nice to see someone here have some cool business knowledge. Respect ++ mi amigo.

Anyways, some criticism and questions for you. What's the point of the "8×8 dToF (depth/Laser AF)". I do NOT think that a depth camera is in anyway a replacement for anything, it's just e-waste. Laser AF is the ONLY way to go imo.

What's the "biometrics sensor" for? That seems unnecessary. No need for a face scanning technique unless it can be implemented under the display so no notch. I don't like the notch of the Honor Magic 6 Pro AT ALL.

Dual telephotos on the base model is a tad much. I'd be happy with 1/2"-1/2.51" 3x telephotos that can do 2x cropping good enough (Oneplus 12).

I think the Plus should have 512 GB by default in addition to being bigger. The price hike is too big to justify a bigger phone with 256 GB.

And about the battery, I think the base S should have 4400-4800 mah and the Plus should have 5000-5600 mah. Also, I think Samsung can cut costs on the base phones by going for Mediatek. That helps them get a similarly fast flagship tier SoC (unlike Exynos) and save money. Win-win for consumers AND the company. Like how Vivo does.

For charging 80 W is fine too, 80-100 W is good. I mean look at Honor, they charge a 5600 mah battery faster with 66 W than Vivo charges a 5500 mah battery with 80 W. A higher standard is important, yes as it generally means there's less chances of charging being slow BUT implementation is more important.

I don't think there needs to be a smaller Ultra, the Ultra is made to be the pinnacle AND the Ultra NEEDS an S Pen imo. It'd be tough to include an S Pen in such a packed phone in a smaller size I'd say.

Also I think there needs to be only one selfie cam that's wide and can be cropped in. A 17-23mm lens would be great. 26 mm is too wide.

Continuous Zoom is a gimmick, Vivo's X100 Ultra proves that a high quality lens is enough. I think a combination of a 3x like Oppo's 1/1.56" one with another longer range one would be great. BUT realistically speaking, I think a 2.5x lens that's 1/2"-1/2.51" as an intermediate lens along with a 5x huge lens like the one on the X100 Ultra is the way to go. You get extreme zoom range and there's little to no quality loss, what do you think? Like the Xperia has some noticeable quality loss in photos, videos will be worse so there's no point in variable zoom as it takes up a LOT of space.

The UW cam can be 1/2" as well, the Find X7 Ultra's one is nice to my eyes, lacking in sharpness but everything else is so nice. I don't mind lack of detail if other things are great and one thing that cam has is great noise control so I love it.

The battery sizes you want are too big and since Si/C has only just come out I don't think they can be implemented this fast on a Samsung phone. Their design process and factory work is going to always be longer than Oppo and others. I'd be happy with a 5500 mah battery, heck I'd be fine with the current battery size if they had fast charging.

Finally, my main gripe with the pricing is the fact that SAMSUNG'S PROCESSING SUCKS. Other companies have a range of filters from Zeiss, Leica, Hasselblad, etc. They all have character. They have different shooting modes for the type of photo you want like Leica Authentic. So Samsung has less features, in other words less value. Even Apple has styles and The Tech Phenomena said that the Pixel 9 Pro XL has some great tweakability to the algorithm as well. Samsung is the worst in that sense. Let's ignore all that and STILL Samsung has horrible processing in general.

Let me link a video to tell you what I mean

                                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNOFJietLrs&t=415s

Look at the pinkish hue, that's Samsung's horrible chroma/color noise creeping in, they don't seem to care. And reviewers eat it all up and don't complain. Samsung will NEVER be worth more than others or even the same as others, they NEED to be cheaper and they know it. They provide the most generous discounts out of all the companies I know. They dupe most consumers by charging 1300 USD and offer generous discounts to some so that people don't complain about the price and it was their fault for not getting the discount. Predatory!!

Anonymous, 29 Aug 2024They also use 8-bit panels even in their highest phoneyeah and nearly no reviewer is tech savvy enough to see the downsides of it and think that they know everything they have when it comes to phones and that their opinion matters the most. If someone even dares to call it out reviewers/fanboys attack you, I think it's unfair and anti-consumer. But if customers themselves like anti-consumer practices, what'll you do?
