Just because brand wants to use SoC A or B, they dont have to price phone at certain price.

Comment like yours is why we see phones with 8g2/8sg3 that have 8mp/2mp cameras, ip54, mono audio, plastic leather , usb 2.0 at $400-600.
Better having 6g1 with 1/2.5" 2nd camera, ip68, GG victus back, usb 3.1

    jerem06, 02 Sep 2024Mediatek makes A78 in 4nm with the Dimensity 7300 EnergyThat's Mediatek... Not Qualcomm..

Mediatek started using TSMC 5nm node in their 8000 series (A78 based) 2.5 years ago. That's why we have seen 5nm/4nm in many more products since then and can expect to see it in future launches.

Qualcomm has only used TSMC 5/4nm processors with the ARM9 architecture. At this late juncture, I doubt it is going to undertake the effort to port A78 chips to TSMC fab.

Again, you're wrong. Or halfway wrong. I proved you wrong months ago pulling the data from your favorite site socpk. 4nm LPE just isn't a match with TSMC 6nm.

Now, maaaybe the latest 4nm LPP+ can be on par with TSMC 6nm. But that one is only used in a couple Exynos chips and the latest Tensor, which by the way, is going to TSMC next year. Maybe the progress came too late.

This will smoke dual A715 any day and will be much cheaper, look at Dimensity 7200 and 7300 situation. D7300 even though it has 4 big cores you can find it under $200 while D7200 with just 2 x A715 is no where around that price point.
