The tri-fold Huawei Mate XT Ultimate is official and boy is it expensive!

10 September 2024
It only has a single 10.2” screen that can fold in two. And the unique tech does come at a price.

This is innovation. Too expensive for most of us but inspired design. Lacking from Apple and Samsung. Nice work in making mobile tech interesting again!

Look at that, it's beautiful. Those gold accents and that red color are stunning. Nice stuff Huawei. Fitting in a variable aperture was a weird move, i'd have preferred a larger main cam or a bigger battery but hey can't expect too much from a first gen phone and variable aperture is available in a handful of phones as is so yeahh.

The pricing is, alright. It's a shame that the base storage is 256 GB but ig this is cus this was in production for a while or something.

Again, bravo. Unlike the removal of the headphone jack, THIS is something that must've taken courage. Just slightly thicker than the Z Fold6, that's extremely cool. The main concern I think is just the battery and the weight. The weight seems like something that'll feel great when unfolded as it'll feel like a weighty tablet but it seems like it might be bothersome when folded.

Regardless, excellent craftsmanship, just look at that design, yeowzers.

I really don't know how they have kept the weight down
Oh sorry I do know is been added to the price lol

The king is back! Huawei is leaps ahead of the competition in the foldable space and it isn't even close.

It looks good and you can use it as a regular two panel fold as well.

New mass produced technology.. not surprising

PatrickCzech, 10 Sep 2024"All of this runs on HarmonyOS 4.2, a system based on ... moreyes, but this is the way to show how innovation works, unlike apple with 60hz screen in 2024 not to mention history in calculator :D

"All of this runs on HarmonyOS 4.2, a system based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) without Google services." I was saying that for many years.
