Samsung: "Here is the same device as last year, and we are going to charge more for it"
I don't get them, I'm still using the S7+, still works great for all my work and media consumption. I am a spender, and I find all sorts of stupid reasons to change phone, or upgrade to new devices. In this case I still don't see a reason, stupid or not, to "upgrade" to the S10+. In fact I am thinking of buying a Xiaomi or Honor tablet just for some change. Not great work Samsung.

It feels like a broken screen if I has such a patch of dead pixels on my TV or pc monitor the thing would get returned not worked around it. What's more due to more appealing shape if you want to disable that whole line on the screen you'll end up with more loss than if it would be designed for it.

I know the notch has been around for a while but I still feel like they should just make the bezels slightly thicker so they can cram the cameras in them and get rid of the notch completely.
It shouldn't be that hard, and honestly with a massive tablet like the S Ultra thicker bezels wouldn't matter too much.

...also now I wonder what they're going to call the tablets next year now that we've hit S10... S11? S25?

I never felt so grateful I bought the S9 last year.
S9 was the best 11" tablet (before the M4 ipp came out). 11" is the perfect balance between portability and screen real estate. Samsung stopped making one. Shame.
Ditching the snapdragon was another no go. Love the deterioration from S8 (brand new snapdragon) -> S9 (half a year old snapdragon) -> S10 (one year old dimensity)
I wished the Tab S10 series release alongside the S25s with the 8 gen 4 and hopefully the Tab S10U with snapdragon X Plus in early 2025. Samsung serve me this out of season april fools joke. SHAME.

This should have been released few months later when d9400 is available with d9400

Great choice to replace my s8 tab. Monster chipset, big screen, and tons of features.

                      let's make Samsung Tab S10 8.5" to 9.5", with spec like S10+ 5G 512Gb Dual Camera Pen,
                      a sweetspot between Phone and 12.4' S10+Tab.
This size suits Gamers, Uni Students who dont do notes but use for slide, Productivity Tools at correct price/CPU.

now phone already go as Large as Huawei Mate XT 10.2",
but it's too large for handheld gaming, while 8" 16:10 is too small for gaming,
and iPad Mini 8.3" 3:2 screen ratio is not wide display.

It's not worth an upgrade... If Samsung does raise the price for these tablets, they could've at least waited for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4...

What I really would like to know is about the keyboard. Will we se something new (or at least well copied ) or will need to face the same bad models than before. The keyboard is the only key detail that makes me not buying Samsung tablets since Tab S7.

Minu, 10 Sep 2024They could've repurposed those bezels to feature tacti... moreButtons? That can break. That are in the way. That cost extra money.

Just bought a used Samsung Tab Active2 (just for fun, it's super slow and super low res screen) and I'm wondering how I could ever loved physical buttons so much once upon a time? I can see the point of physical buttons while in the field or something. But in my home? Nopes, gestures are much easier and makes the tablet cleaner and easier to handle.

                              11 inch model is needed.

I'd love an 8.4in iPad mini competitor, the S9 in an iPad mini size would compliment my 11in tablet perfectly.

The plus and ultra models are too large for my use case

Samsung should take a note out of Apple's book and launch their tablets with a powerful laptop grade chip. It would open a bunch of possibilities for app developers and game devs to port their software for it. My Tab S9 Ultra is amazing and I love it but it still runs on the SD 8 gen 2 like so many phones, it defeats the purpose of having such a big device.

Why do you do this to tablets and... moreThey could've repurposed those bezels to feature tactile navigation buttons like earlier Samsung tablets. Instead, they have used the same Wingtech design seen on many non-Samsung tablets, further hampered by the notch that does more harm than good to the design.
