$700 with no disc tray. cpu is still the same which will be the bottleneck & just a bump on gpu speed. 🤣

I would like to clarify a fundamental point that perhaps escapes everyone.
The price.
Most of you have a job.
Most of you have monthly deadlines (taxes).
Most of you also have a family (which costs to support).
Most of you have not received (and probably will not receive for a long time) a raise.
So the question is more than legitimate:
- But what kind of Crack do they smoke in Sony?
As far as I'm concerned (and for these crazy prices practiced by almost all industrial realities, even in the food you eat), the next bugs, if necessary, I will spend them on a handheld.

What is more concerning, is that in today society, people spend money far more easily and on more stupid things than in the past. Maybe to increase our self-esteems, or maybe we are more curious than in the past. Or maybe is just the social media and internet who created this type of people.
If we look at the smartphone business, we can see this. Phones are just getting more expensive each year without any real improvements or upgrades. Even this AI thing that everybody is so hyped about is just a gimmick, to make people even more d*mber and glued to their phones.
So yeah, I think the PS5 Pro will sell good. Maybe not like previous models, but still it will sell good enough, to make Sony even more greedy and increase the price even more for the PS6.

But an 1080p one you can make with no problem. And for people who still enjoy sitting at a desk, 1080p is very much usable and nice. Maybe I am old school, but I rather sit at a desk with a monitor (even when I had consoles), than sit on the couch with TV. I think the last TV I bought was 13 or 14 years ago.
Also, a PC is not just a gaming device. You can do more things on a PC than on a console. A console is just a media consumption device. You get bored of it, or you don't have any interesting games to play, it will collect dust for months in a row (that means money spent for nothing). Yeah, is cheaper, but if you don't use it weekly, what's the point of owning one. On the other hand my laptop/PC stays opened each day (not only for media consumption).

I suspect Sony is testing how good ps5 pro sells at this price and if it sells well(i doubt) then ps6 starting price will be very high.
I just think maybe console people should just either buy next generation Nintendo or start paying for Geforce Now if they have good enough internet speed and latency.

People comparing a PC built with used components to a brand new console with warranty is disingenuous at best.
Put your money wherever you want, but don't tell me "hur-dur, a PC is better and cheaper and always will be". Console has its advantages, it is OK to admit it.

Microsoft understood this, and they have put all their gaming money in services. They don't care about the consoles anymore.
Practically the only advantage of Sony, the exclusives games, will no longer exist in couple of years. Or they will be so few, that buying a Sony console only to play 1-2 exclusives per couple of years will not be worth it.
The only real exclusives remain in Nintendo. Hopefully they will release a nice Switch 2 or how it will be called. My money will definitely go there if I want something to game on. Or into some nice gaming PC.
Not even Apple with their Apple Arcade is exclusive anymore. Even though they had so big plans in 2019. Now they just put on Arcade games from App Store without ads. Nothing exclusive about that.

Never want to do anything with this company and its products in future.
They have become too greedy. Far worse even than Apple.

PS5 is a disaster. The only reason Sony are still alive and not in Microsoft position is because Nintendo did not announce the release switch 2 for this year..
Looking at Sony's development in last 7 years, they deserve their fate.

This doesn't look good for the ps6 price seeing as the ps6 will have to be better than the ps5 pro. Let's just hope that there's enough ps5 pro optimised games to justify the price.. Then again it seems like awesome value when you compare it to the freemium garbage mobile gamers pay.. 6mythics fully upgraded in codm would cost more than a ps5 pro..then you need a smartphone that costs the same again just to avoid a lagfest.
