Sony torpedoing it sideways without vertical stand

    The listed price doesn't SEEM too bad with the 2TB model. BUT you have to remember this requires another $200 and tax on top. And this is for USA. Other locations it will be higher priced for people with lower earnings. So yah.

    All that and we were expecting a decent +50% uplift, but it seems more like a +40% uplift. And there aren't any great games this generation. The PS4 generation was quiet barren, but we haven't even hit that level yet. Just look back at the early-360 or late-PS3 era.

    Because of future forecast, the PS5 Pro looks decent, since the PS6 is being delayed. But it is hard to recommend people to upgrade. Maybe if this was $600 with the Disc Slot and Taxes it would have been fine, even if it had a 1TB Drive. But no, I am not recommending this yet.

    It is still actually MORE expensive to build a Gaming PC, you can thank AMD and Nvidia for that. Around double the price. But that gets you so much more, it is the wiser choice in the long run.

      I have PS5 and don't want to get the Pro one with a specific reason that's the games will be exactly the same. Instead, I am upgrading my PC and wait for the PS6.

      If you don't have a PS5 or gaming PC yet, the Pro one may be good for you.

They are either timed exclusives or multi-platform from the start. Xbox games are on PC day one and even Sony has started realising PlayStation exclusives on PC.

              Wow, Sony really outdid themselves with this system. I almost wish I had a PlayStation, now.

              *Almost.* I don't really need it, since I have two Nintendo Switches and a Steam Deck, but it's kinda cool sounding. Better than that green console... 🙄

                    As you can see difference between performance setting vs PS5 pro is very low and that too when zoom and not in motion , in motion spotting differences would be very low , but still it you don't have PS5 than i recommend to buy PS5 because difference in graphics is very minimal

                          And it's at least 850 euro for the PS5 Pro with CD drive.
                          Something like 3070ti you can get for 500 already and then go with something Ryzon 5 and cheap motherboard. Comes to around 900 euro.

                              You can build a PC for that money with RTX3080 in it for that money or at least 3070 and it be running all games over 10 years on 60 fps minimum

                              Same like this a box with what you need to connect to TV or screen. And it be like 10 times more powerful

I was an avid PC gamer, tweaking drivers and settings just to get an extra fps all thetime. After a while, getting tired of that as I just want to play the game at reasonable performance without having to worry about upgrading my GPU or updating my drivers everytime a new game is released.

                                  Consoles used to make sense when you couldn’t get the same power from a PC for cheaper. At this very high price, plus even more if you want the disk drive you could actually get a decent gaming PC. Plus most games are no longer console exclusive!

                                      Then I saw the PS5 has nearly 730 games... yeah, that is not much compared to anything else before after being nearly 4 years on the market (PS5 launched in november of 2020)
