The benchmarks reports the main CPU cores could make it the smartphone chipset with the highest clock speed yet.

Higher capacity batteries are not a necessity, they are just an improvement which comes from the battery supplier this year.

        It is not about benchmarks. For any task, phones with 8g4 will be using more battery. OEMs do not want to pay for more battery, it is necessity.

                          Holy mother of Jesus......... Even if you reduce its clock speed to manage the heat and if it loses 10 to 15% of its performance it's still a monster..... Wow

                                The OP13 sounds crazy but I feel I'll try the OP Open2 this year. If the OP13 sounds this good, the Open2 should be epic....... presently using OP11; can't wait.

                                  You can't assume temperatures or power consumption from high clocks when you're not familiar with the underlying architecture. Chip X might clock to 3 GHz at 5 watts while chip Y does 5 GHz at 3 watts.
                                  SD8G4 isn't yet another round of Cortex, but fresh Oryon-derived cores.

Many complain of not seeing anything on their screen in direct sunlight. The brightness drops to 300 nits!

                                      You realise any device that's on let's say is running more than 3 things at once?
                                      With your example 1. Instagram
                                      2. Your God dammed operations system
                                      3. Your network download and upload program
                                      4. Your clock
                                      5. Your battery life constant checker
                                      6. Let's say you have a notification it'll run the notification manager
                                      7. Before the notification can enter it'll run a low-end module of the app that has an notification, and all the apps in the background are still running

                                      So as you see a lot of things are running and running them on one core is making your phone a boiling ring
