Its exactly seems that.
Smaller phones are generaly worse i said that many times.
Maybe better sales but they are still worse.
And said endirance rating you said you reached day easily well i could do to if i put phone on standby othervise no chance.
Even if you look at GSMArena rating about 13 mini for example it have 13 hours on average. And thats a half day of constant nonstop work with phone.
So on a standby or using your phone as a receiver of calls you can get maybe 34 days no more.
In other words useless device like every small phone.

S24 has effectively the same battery life as S24+ (30 mins less, but each over 12 hours) Also, Xperia 5 consistently had better battery life than Xperia 1. Your biases are affecting your judgement.

    But why are you trying to move the goalpost now? You were originally talking about popularity, and now that you know small phones are more popular than similar large phones, you're switching to your personal preferences, as though they're some objective measure. My preference is for a small phone instead some clunky massive phone that I can't use one-handed or fit in my pocket conveniently, so by your own logic, big phones are useless.

    Or maybe... just maybe... different people have different preferences, which goes right back to my original reply where I said that manufacturers should create phones of various sizes to appeal to a range of users.

          They had a unique design language in the S21 and S22 models. Instead of continuing to refine that, they've made every phone look generic as possible to keep costs down and maximize profits.

            Pathetic effort from samsung. In fact zero effort. The same 5 yrs old cameras, A15 design. Not even considering this junk from old parts. Cameras should be on par with Ultra, like Apple did with 16 Pro, then it'd be tempting.

              Maybe had better sales but phone with half day endurance rating with a new battery is completely useless. Compared to that the plus version have more endurance than even Pro Max version.
              So with even worse sales is a much better device due to much better endurance.
              Mini phones no matter the brand have small battery and useless endurance if combined with laughable 10W Apple charging speeds USB 2.0 and 60 Hz screen sold for casual 1000 bucks is nothing but a pure robbery on a customer.

Just like iPhone 12 & 13 mini sold better than iPhone 14 & 15 Plus. Clearly smaller phones are preferable to "Plus" phones. The Ultra is a different class of device, it's not a direct competitor to the the S24 or S24 Plus, just like now you wouldn't compare an iPhone mini or Plus to an iPhone Pro.

                  Wow, what a novelty! Not. Boring and nothing really new. So yet another incremental update with, off course, a price update as well.

Galaxy S24 is smaller than and sold better than S23 or S24 Plus. Seems to me like there's still plenty of market for smaller phones, but companies are simply not putting any effort into making them.

                                  Hoping for the launch of the four horsemen colors: white, black, red, pale green.

                                  Internet-exclusive colors should be bright and sporty, official launch colors should be the 'professional' colors. Not just a different shade, or a palette swap with darkened edges.

                                  Fun colors: sky blue, yellow, pink, cream.

                                        Everyone wants a phone the same size as the S23 or slightly smaller.
                                        If it has Qi2, we will be even more satisfied.
