If you want to learn about the truth, ask Louis Rossman.

I personally ignore brands that do not suppurt right to repair.

Renato Russo, 13 Sep 2024I'm not sure if this is a well thought out feature des... moreWhat you're saying is idiotic. Read the article again. You are asked for the ID and password of the original account used to activate the device. If the user repairs his device, he'll obviously have no problem answering, since it's his device and he's being asked for his ID and password.

This thing is to block the dismantling of stolen devices and the use of their parts on other devices. It's quite clear. Are you having trouble understanding what you're reading ? Your anti-Apple hatred is blinding you.m

That was a very extreme rare case, looks like you just shared your own story about failed phone robbery.🤣

"You now have a $300 screen that you could have sold on eBay but now its treated the same as a stolen part by Apple"

You could asking Apple to unlock/ directly go to Apple Store by showing the proof of purchase and knowing your own icloud account. Only phone thief or phone robber disagree with this Apple policy.

At the end of the day, you still need a genuine part from apple ..

No more cheap part that use a clone series number.. Apple have achieve a total control over their own eco system.
