Maybe engineers have to put in hardwork to make it possible?

Bi-fold and tri-fold are both correct. Tri-fold is by far more common and comes from the print industry going back decades to represent and piece of paper with three 'panels'. Triptych is also used.

The innovation relative to 'thinness' comes from R&D necessary to attain the thinnest form factor while maintaining structural robustness and being able to fit everything inside the device in a stable state.

Without trump banning Huawei access to Google, Huawei will already dominate the world mobile phone market with advance devices and Samsung will be back selling walkie talkies.

Basically both mobiles have three screens, just Huawei has intelligently used front screen with inner foldable structure.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2024as left panel can be fold both ways. inside and out.its not about hinges that count but how it designed as there is there way you can use the device.
                            e.g. 1st fold (fully folded), half-open (2nd fold), fully open (3rd fold).

Huawei has really nailed this one. And of course it's expensive. You're getting a phone & a proper tablet all in one convertible device. It's remarkable.

Meanwhile what's the difference between a Z Fold3 & Z Fold6 besides the customary chipset upgrade? Practically nothing! That's not innovation.

Aspros, 14 Sep 2024this could have been the greatest argument against it. Now ... moreSince when thikness means innovation? And wait 🤔 Samsung is bi-fold? It bands only once, where ist the second hinge to call it bi? Apparently the chinese have no idea what tri-fold is and they fooled everybody to take it seriously, if this expensive waste is anything is definetly a bi-fold, not a tri-fold.

                                      First,
95% of IC were using 14nm or less advance.
And right now, China were replacing the non-advance IC from the outside china as fast as they can.

                                      Second,
China already able to do 7nm without netherland or japan equipment
Just remember that intel stuck in 14nm for a very long
Just able to do 10nm a couple years back.
And now intel producing their chip in TSMC --- TAIWAN, which is actually China "renegade" province. (what if that renegade province come back to motherland??)

                                      Third,
While China might not in 3nm yet, but with current ability to produce 7nm or maybe 10nm. China already able to get all the car (NEV), and all other electronic device... other than computer and smartphone.
