      Huawei has really nailed this one. And of course it's expensive. You're getting a phone & a proper tablet all in one convertible device. It's remarkable.

      Meanwhile what's the difference between a Z Fold3 & Z Fold6 besides the customary chipset upgrade? Practically nothing! That's not innovation.

          First,
          95% of IC were using 14nm or less advance.
          And right now, China were replacing the non-advance IC from the outside china as fast as they can.

          Second,
          China already able to do 7nm without netherland or japan equipment
          Just remember that intel stuck in 14nm for a very long
          Just able to do 10nm a couple years back.
          And now intel producing their chip in TSMC --- TAIWAN, which is actually China "renegade" province. (what if that renegade province come back to motherland??)

          Third,
          While China might not in 3nm yet, but with current ability to produce 7nm or maybe 10nm. China already able to get all the car (NEV), and all other electronic device... other than computer and smartphone.

            Soon Japan will be next as they were ordered by western community to allow less restrictive immigration as well.

                        That's just embarrassing for Samsung. They need a major overhaul of the design of the fold 7 or else people like me will start switching. Wake up Samsung!

                          This 'article' feels like a "witchhunt" against the original foldable though.
                          I think a fairer comparison would be to pitch the Mate XT against:
                          * Galaxy Z Fold 6
                          * Pixel 9 Fold Pro
                          * OnePlus Open
                          * Huawei Mate X3 (or other if outside of UK/EU)

                          That way, you can compare the Mate XT against other Huawei products and others - it removes the bias... unless that's the point of the article...?

                            It's a real shame that China is such a closed country as their technological advances are impressive and it highlighted just how lacking the world is by comparison.

                                  Anonymous, 14 Sep 2024IMO, a phone that doesn't fold, is the best.I agreed when a foldable resulted in a stupid square display. Getting a tablet foldable is a bit different for me personally. But I don't like big tablets or big phones. So call me when I get a Pixel 9 sized phone unfolding into an 8" tablet.

                                    All are bricks anyway. What matters the most for me are cameras. You can have similar thick bar phone and laugh how bad fold cameras are. This kind of design is very bad for sensor size, so I hope they bring something better.

                                        If tech journalists start writing unbiased articles than I hope that all the debate will disappear and we clearly see that both Samsung and Apple think that consumers are dumb!!!

                                        SAMSUNG AND APPLE ARE NOKIA OF THIS ERA..the kind of products they are offering and if they don't change their strategy I think in next 2-3 years Xiaomi, honor or Huawei will become the number one smartphone manufacturer of the world..

                                        Both these giants are only recycling their old devices and labelling them as new and only new thing they bring every year is new flashy marketing slogans for already available tech in market just to make fool out of consumers.. There is nothing new you can expect from Samsung s25 in the same manner that you cannot expect anyhing new in the recently launched IPhone 16...I saw an article other day where someone was praising the colors of new iPhone...what a joke...so you pay usd1500 to 2000 for new colors...bravo and hats off to paid tech journalis....well done...
