Pixel 9 Pro Fold snaps in durability test

16 September 2024
Google's second-gen foldable is still lacking in structural integrity.

Who is so stupid to pay almost 2000 dollars for a foldable?

I had a Google Nexus 4 back in 2013. I think it was LG that build it.

I would rather bring back the Nexus line and scrap the Pixel.

Snap durability testing for foldables and tablets is a useless waste of resources. Nobody is going to put an opened foldable in the back pocket by an accident, it simply won't fit.

Google skimped out on high quality hardware. What a surprise!

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2024The hinge actually held up but the panel snapped in two.The frame snapped, which is terrible. And the hinge only "held up" because something else immediately broke.

It's fair to say that Google's smartphones are quite snappy, both in performance and structural integrity 😂

All of these types were never practical in the first place. Notice how rarely you see them on used markets. Higher chance to see a used S20U vs the 1st gen Galaxy Fold.

I'm not surprised. Quite frankly, Google's ridiculously behind everyone else, including even the embarrassment that is Samsung, when it comes to their foldables.

Honor still holds the crown for folding phones.

The seven people who bought one will be very disappointed

                        Oh Snap!
