What are you d*mb?? Apple already mentioned it since the first day iOS 18 was introduced. You really wish those AI things on your old iPhone with less than 8GB of RAM?? I'm not. As I said, it's more of user problem. If you wish to get the greatest and the latest feature? Just buy the new iPhone. Same goes for Android phones 🤦🏻‍♂️

when it comes to OS update, apple is still king. they release all updates at once.

Thank you for being one of only a few handful of Non-Apple users on this website who can form a coherent opinion without resorting to childish, brain-dead takes about the brand they would never even use.

xPandamon, 16 Sep 2024Now I want to see a list with features missing on the older... moreThere's nothing missing other than AI features..A12 inside older devices is still more than enough to handle the current os.. The only thing that will make apple drop it for next ios because of ram limitation.

As nowadays ios only improves on optimization and some visual changes.. Like android, ios have mature enough & currently on it peak.

Im currently using ios as a second phone and running ios 18 beta for developer.

I think Hyper Os will be better than Ios in 2030

Now I want to see a list with features missing on the older devices, cause that's the catch with Apple. Their update support list always looks impressive, but when half of the features are not available on old devices, it always feels like they're cheating the system. Android devices in the past have gotten less updates overall, but atleast those are fully fledged

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2024I wonder where is the 1d1ot who said iPhone 11 won't g... moreNot that guy, but I'll tell you two things. First, you'll get the update but most features won't even be there, that has always been the questionable thing about Apple, they give long updates but they are lacking on older devices. Secondly, it IS advised to wait until x.1 or even x.2. Apple has repeatedly messed up major updates in the past for ALL of their product lines, so unfortunately, waiting is the way to go. You can also risk it ans install the preview updates if something needs a "quick" fix but that really isn't the best idea either, since those updates may have other bugs.

I heard that there is a way to lock or hide apps now? Is this a more better way than iOS 17.x?
Is it also true that when you hide apps it goes to a folder called "Hidden Folder" (or was it Hidden Apps) which TBH is pretty much pointless. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

This is the sixth IOS update for XS/Max and XR, one more and the record for the smartphone that received the most OS updates of all, will no longer belong to the iPhone 6s.

Redesigning them for each subsequent version makes absolutely no sense 🤷

Yes, I got iOS update on my iPhone and iPads sharp at 10:30pm IST in Pune, India 😇

I wonder where is the 1d1ot who said iPhone 11 won't get iOS 18?? 🤔
He probably bury his head under the sand right now.
I'll update my iPhone 11 today when I'm free. As for now, I'm kinda occupied with many task and those who are saying better wait for iOS 18.2 or bla bla.. the real problem is you as the user. Not the update. I'll bet your iPhone either have too many useless apps you install or storage low or simply too many crap picture on it that you don't want to delete it to free some storage. Hence why your update always have "problem" 🤦🏻‍♂️

what's the point since only 6 phones would get the ai bs out of all of them, the rest of features are just as boring as the ones google is adding to each android version.

Time to update to 17.7 instead.

Apple's software QA has been down the drain since iOS15. Worse, you probably have to wait till 18.2 to get a stable and relatively bug free update. It's embarassing, and I'm still astonished why Craig is still on the job (considering how Forstall was quickly sacked just because of Apple Maps).

Those with iphone XR or other iphones with 3gb of ram. Don't update.
