Anonymous, 19 Sep 2024I get what EU is doing here but... You forgot to sue Goo... moreOn Google you CAN advertise that the price is cheaper on your website.
On iOS your app will be rejected if you mention that cheaper methods exist.

Searching Reddit for "Apple denied app subscription" turns up hundreds of results.

One commenter, Terryble_, says
"Your app got rejected because it looked like you were trying to get around having to give Apple their cut when users buy memberships from your website..."

You dont find any discussions like this when searching for Play Store App rejections.

NiJon, 19 Sep 2024Don't use an iphone / Apple product then.Okay, Barbara Bush. That statement is sure going to change everything, isn't it?

Lawyer Kevin, 19 Sep 2024The law doesn't pay well. Most lawyer jobs pay well in... moreWell all i can say is that it is merit based to get in the top end of middle class. It's not enough in any profession to just learn it and then be off for a good life high pay. A lot go to learn in schools to a position that pays well but dont do the job to get there and expect that as soon as they go to school they should already be guaranteed a top end job

NiJon, 19 Sep 2024Don't use an iphone / Apple product then.Or sue them? Up to you

Anonymous, 19 Sep 2024Ok, the next riot we need for in the EU are microtransactio... moreLook, according to the laws of "Antitrust laws also referred to as competition laws, are statutes developed by the U.S. government to protect consumers from predatory business practices" the given markets should be protected in theory but in reality when at every turn you get overtaxed how you can survive? Recently I saw an interview with a very wealthy man taking about three times fold or more on a day business to become profitable otherwise you get under bus cause there is no reward especially for small companies.
Economically governments seek inflation cause in somehow is equal to growth at expense of regular citizens.

As an Apple owner(SE2) I already miss Android. (especially GrapheneOS with F-Droid and all the Juice between).

The phone burns after 100 SMSes, nevermind -1% drop in battery after just 5 of those, meaning -20% after 100(mean-ed). :| It's mindblowing.

              The lawsuits just started.

And the No Encryption for Encrypted DNS is not just an OSX 'problem', the 'bug' is on purpose ! They don't encrypt signed-nextdns-profile ! I know that because nextdns uses different providers for encrypted/unencrypted traffic + the dashboard will simply tell.

So : Apple should be sued just for the simple fact that they heavily mess with the end-users Privacy ! (Which is Heavily Punishable under the latest Laws) -- the web is full of proofs already.

+ you just have to check /reddit/r/ios/top to make an idea about how bugged and messed is iOS 18( I got astonished how they 'comic-sans'ed +LGBT-ed the UI, fonts, icons, everything is cheaper now)

Yeah, Android is simply Superior in terms of settings, customizations, law-complying.

+ I really want to Wipe the Spyware called 'Siri' .

The main problem with Android phones is that they are too oppulent for my tastes, so, I will have to suffer a little more with iOS, maybe I will swap to SE3 for 5G if I won't find Vivo T3 ultra at a better price than Amazon.de Refurbished ...

To be continued ... ( I'm a little scared that this comm. will not be aproved even if I didn't offend anyone..) --those are the facts.

Like I have said repeatedly now once the EU got their own bite out of Apple, they were obviously going to come back for more…….

Ok, the next riot we need for in the EU are microtransactions in video games and video game prices, because paying 60-70 euros for a game when the average wages are 2-3 times lower than the US, yet the price is exactly the same, is ridiculous. Same with hardware prices.

pl2rts, 19 Sep 2024They are creating jobs for lawyers to have stable work for ... moreThe law doesn't pay well. Most lawyer jobs pay well in the ordinary sense of the word, and your typical lawyer is going to be upper-middle class. The issue is that a lot of people go to law school wanting to be upper class, and only a few of us get that kind of money. There’s also the issue at the lower end of the profession that people who attend low-ranked law schools frequently struggle to find legal jobs and will often make little money. So this statement isn’t really true, but a lot of people who spend 3 years and take out a lot of student loans are going to be disappointed if they don’t do their homework

racercrew911, 19 Sep 2024Sadly, no matter what they'll do, they'll fail on... moreThey are creating jobs for lawyers to have stable work for years to earn money for both sides.

                        >Apple Music does not pay 30% service fee, but it should be pointed out that other companies are not required to increase fees in order to operate there as well. They are simply passing the cost through

Geez GSMArena, can you at least pretend you are objectively reporting facts instead of defending Apple? Apple's taking a cut from subscriptions of other services. All companies are in it for money so they can either earn less or just pay a blanked fee to Apple because they exist. 30% or 15% blanket fee is way too much.

Sadly, no matter what they'll do, they'll fail on it again, 'cause they're bounded to be failed by evil corporate watchdogs from very beginning...

You forgot to sue Google for doing the exact same thing on Android.

And before someone claims that "you can get around that", same applies to iOS, but that's beside the point.

Are spotify obliged to have users sign up trough Apple Pay/App store in app? Can they just not link people out to order through their webpage? Also they probably get more paying customers because signing up is so easy?
