Why don't they keep selling the feature phones? They've only released two HMD-branded feature phones.

Anonymous, 30 Sep 2024HMD will disappear eventuallyThey are the only vendor who gives pure android phones. No other options. And Nokia was alive in our hands for past 10 years just because of efforts by hmd.

HorriblyMadeDevices, 30 Sep 2024HMD is nothing but a brand parasite, just like Microsoft. ... moreThey did better than Microsoft. Microsoft just killed meego, symbian, s40, asha os and used nokia for windows phone promotion and failed themselves in the process. They did all four themselves and not consumer point of view. But hmd makes nokia phones to sell to consumers and no other shitty thoughts like microsoft had

              Agree.

We all live in a "weird" time.
The mud slinging and wrong info is so big against brand from specific country to confuse people. i.e. that brand have ads, that brand quality bad, that brand battery not good because charge too fast.

Vqb, 01 Oct 2024i mean the phone is dying so i will have to replace it soon... moreSi/C batteries would take at least 5 years to get to a more affordable segment. Also, custom ROMs are worth the risk on older hardware, if you know what you are doing.

You can get the help of a technician to solder the Nokia G11 Plus' BMS onto a similarly sized Si/C battery, once the Li-Po battery ages and makes the phone unusable. So it's essentially pointless to dispose cash onto a newer phone with little to no improvements.

It's likely that it took some time for Sony to apply for these licenses before they could restart their business with Huawei again.
