      HMD feels like a no-name company that doesn't know where it's going, just makes smartphones that no one asked for and that no one needs, especially since they tried to revive Nokia under a bad name and price. This company has no future.

      besides, "you can repair the phone yourself" sounds like a scam to increase the price of the phone.

        You mean 'Old Continent' = Europe??? 😂😂

                      Apple and Samsung are both paying licenses to Nokia for its 5G patents

                        Well, Nokia was just a zombie brand basically the entire time. In the beginning they made some pretty cool solid metal case higher end Nokias and then they just started making pure garbage all running Snapdragon 695 and costing 500€ and more. Then they just started slapping HMD on those same garbage models.

Speaking of unsuccessful mobile brand revivals, there's Meizu. After being acquired by Geely (a car company that also owns Volvo) Meizu has struggled to expand beyond the Chinese market.

                            HMD = highly mediocre disappointment

                              In 2017 HMD was able to make phones that compete with Chinese, even its phones were very popular like the Nokia 6, now selling $500 phones with the 7s Gen 2, where most Chinese phones are under $300.

                                It's not a huge surprise since HMD branded phones were released. The Nokia licencing fee they were paying will stop, however HMD phones are still really expensive for the price and I wonder about their sales.
