Useless imx586 costed $25 when it was new sensor.
Imagine price of LYT800 and LYT900 that are main sensors from sony right now and have much lower volume production .

Manufacturers should use Dimensity 9400 and that 20% diference in price invest in better camera sensor, bigger battery, charger in the box or something else. Snapdragon is to expensive!!!!!

Everybody wants the latest in technology but doesn't want to pay for it. 20% is almost $30 more of the previous cost, $190 is no merit to say "whopping increase" or to expensive. This type of comments are from people expecting to buy a Galaxy S24 Ultra in $500 xD

Apart from console emulators on the smartphone, I don't know where all this power is used anymore, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 or Snapdragon 8 Elite, which name they will use, but it's costing almost the same price as the processor of a notebook, but Android has nothing to use this performance, at least Apple is releasing AAA games for the iPhone, but what about Android? What is the logic of having the processor of the year? And because of the price difference, why would I buy the Qualcomm processor? MediaTek's processor showed excellent numbers in the tests, even if Snapdragon is stronger, where am I going to use that extra power? That doesn't make sense to me.
