Galaxy S10 and Note10 users are reporting bootlooping after recent update

The only update I am seeing on my Galaxy S10+ is from March 2023 and I still have not downloaded nor installed it... Is there something newer? I thought the 2019 phones were already no longer receiving updates...

    if only they didn't update the phone, they could've continued to use it for a few years.

      Modeey, 04 Oct 2024Samsung tell you it's time for upgrade 🙃The irony is that there isn't a single unit of either of these phones covered by the warranty or at least by extended warranty, meaning they wouldn't provide a motherboard replacement or a software reinstallation. They'll overcharge for a replacement, so those affected users are simply forced to buy a new phone.

        Samsung purposely does this and famous for it. They intentionally bootloop older devices to get new sales but eventually will loose the customer

                Only reason I bought Galaxy S21+ over alternatives, earlier this year, was because I knew it'll receive Android 15. And I'd still sell this, add a little extra money to it and buy Galaxy S23+ either late next year or early 2026. Before you talk silly in the name of lecturing me, I most likely know about phones way more than you do.

                One more thing: the writer provided source links, but somehow either had trouble reading or didn't grasp the contents, because I just checked out the first one and found that it was an app update, not an OS/firmware update, that is the culprit, yet RO made it seem otherwise. What piqued my suspicion was that both series of phones mentioned had reached EOL since about a year ago. I know because I owned Note 10+ (which I sold for the equivalent of ~$160, added extra ~$78 and got the S21+5G). So I wanted to see the kind of update Samsung pushed. I usually don't check out source links, but maybe I should start doing that seeing how misleading this article is.
