    Techgeek91, 9 hours ago2025 is the year AAA titles will land officially on Android I also believe so, after EPIC announced special licensing for mobile games on Unreal engine and also won the right to push their own store on Android. Exciting times ahead, I hope. Nowadays mobile games are simply gambling cash grabs :(

      All that power and it can't even do 4K @ 120Hz.
      No wonder Sony discontinued 4K screens on their flagships.

There is old Article at AndroidAuthority Qualcomm is working to make X86 to Arm translator for other os than windows, also Valve is working for proton for Arm soc to translate X86 to Arm.

                  While Qualcomm doest care about Winlator direct, any improvement in Wine/proton will indirect improve X86 emulation in Android.

                        Its about peak perf+sustain perf+battery life...we will see. Maybe very BIG phones will be able to extract more from this, but the 6-6.5" phones has no chance

                          It depends if the companies will prefer to run it much cooler on lower clock speeds for more sustain perf or go higher and higher and so ....peak great perf (like opening apps) but garbage in using the apps

                            this must be the first generation quallcom silicon that surpasses the latest apple silicon in terms of power and efficiency. good to see a tough competition. finally, we can see flip phones that can literally last a day without anxiety.

                              Gamer, 9 hours agoHmm, there's no need to get extra hardware for casing ... morewhat other choice do us mobile gamer plebs have? COD Mobile? PUBG? Asphalt? That's literally it in terms of "good" graphics for phones. If Google could pay devs to port ps2 or ps3 era games natively like Nintendo is doing with Switch (Red Dead Redemption for example) then android could've used all this power.

                              Through official means there's not much android users can do to harness the power of their SoCs. You have to use emulators and sail the seas to properly utilize the power.

                              i understand it's sarcasm but i agree with you. mobile phone gaming is a bigger joke than the Xbox Series X's exclusive collection.

                                  I wonder whether there will be a Snapdragon 8 Elite 'Lite' this year based on the new architecture and 3nm process, or will 8G3 will be used as Qualcomm's offering for high midrange segment.

                                    Very interesting to see a Snapdragon flagship going without E cores. MediaTec really might have been onto something when they pioneered that move.

                                    And yet another renaming strategy lol. What is the successor chip going to be called, 8 Elite Gen 2? Mess.

                                    Still, this is certainly looking fascinating and the benchmark drip over the weeks ahead is going to be one to watch for sure...

So it looks like Snapdragon 8 elite beats D9400 by ~10% in raw CPU performance. Performance/watt is also higher (~5% at low-moderate power consumption, 10% at higher consumption).

                                        GPU-wise, it seems to be a tie, both in terms of raw performance as well as power efficiency.

                                        The only unknown at this point is how the standby power consumption behaves.
