Interesting developments. Qualcomm has a lot of catching up to do to match Apple's A series. Even a three year old A series chip matches and beats Qualcomm on a lot of metrics. So this new chip could make the playing field more even.

            confirmed over 3 million points Antutu V10 score. while 9400 Dimensity runs just under 3m.

              every year we look at new CPU, if I unbox a phone with snapdragon 8 elite chip, but not in 2024 or 2025, instead, if I unbox it in 2030, it will be slow... reason : we don't know why...
              even though the phone is unused, kept sealed pack brand new, it will still be slow upon using it as daily driver... I don't understand the logic of it... I have experienced it myself that's the reason I can say this... whether be Samsung, iPhone, OnePlus, I have experienced the same issue with all these oems... just buy a new s24 ultra in 2028, no software update was done in it, yet it will be slow in 2028...

I'd recommend a 7genx if they use even semi intensive apps

The 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 were excellent here. This is what those little cores were for, not for running time measured SPEC benchmarks. The upper power usage ceiling of ARM's little cores is very low, but if you run a benchmark that takes time to complete you will see it will do it slowly and thus in total use more power, but what if you run a simple task that not performance sensitive?(like checking for notifications, managing data connection and so on, uploading something in the background etc.)

The efficiency increased as much as the performance, so at the same power as the 8 Gen 3 it's 45% faster. At the same perf as the 8 Gen 3(which is still quite a lot of perf) it uses almost half the power.

                                        Techgeek91, 22 Oct 20242025 is the year AAA titles will land officially on Android I also believe so, after EPIC announced special licensing for mobile games on Unreal engine and also won the right to push their own store on Android. Exciting times ahead, I hope. Nowadays mobile games are simply gambling cash grabs :(
